This book kept me reading as we followed Marcus Dillinger, a major league baseball player who is trying to form a community center for at-risk kids. He is also intrigued by Mary Katherine, but Mary Katherine is hiding a secret of her own - she is dying, and she doesn't want Marcus to fall for her. Have you ever noticed a lovely sweet scent and been unable to identify the source? This very well may be a sign from your angels! Angels often love to make their presence known through the power of scent. You may notice the presence of your Guardian Angel through a lovely rich and minty chocolatey smell, or the nearness of the Archangels through the sweet subtle scent of flowers. The key to going from seeing one of these signs of angels, to then receiving deeper wisdom, frequency and truth is to become fully present in the moment and increase your awareness. There is a scene where all the angels are applauding God and praising Him, which brought wonder to my imagination! I lost myself in the characters, both angelic and human. We should remember that Scripture tells us be aware we might entertain angels without knowing it. The scenes are a reflection of what people have experienced in living life here on earth, only now with a fictional addition of the viewpoint of angels. I believe angels are real and are doing the missions God sends them on. We just can’t always see, know or be able to tell of their presence. Yet, what matters more is that God loves us so much to send us messengers to help in more ways than finite beings will ever be able to comprehend. Despite needing a heart transplant and against the advice of her doctor, Mary Catherine moves to Uganda to work at a brand new orphanage. Whatever time she has left, Mary Catherine wants to spend it helping children—especially since there will be no children of her own.
