Only gripe is the left and right buttons either side of the wheel are flush and can loose position on the right button occasionally. Once the mouse is set up, you can customize its eight buttons and adjust tracking speed by installing the Logitech Options software (as with the Unifying receiver, installation is unnecessary if you already use the software with another Logitech peripheral). I've been using the high DPI gaming mice for so long I don't know if the 2k~ sensor in the Ergo is a barrier because imagine trackball DPI is not commensurate with mouse DPI because they function differently but I can't think of much else.
There is nothing out there like this I had the older version mouse before (M570)l, which I must say is amazing and battery life is amazing too. Alternatively, if you're looking for an ambidextrous trackball mouse, check out the Kensington SlimBlade Trackball. Since the MX Ergo is going to stay put on your desk, it doesn't really matter how much it weighs, and the solid metal base is sturdy enough that there is absolutely no jiggling.It's a heavy mouse, but this won't make a difference when gaming because you rotate the trackball instead of moving the entire mouse. The back and forward buttons are somehow too far from my index finger, so I don’t use them all that much. The Logitech MX ERGO is an ergonomic trackball mouse in Logitech's office-oriented MX Series lineup. Using the distal joint crease of my thumb I'm able to grip the ball well to control things like rifle sway or using it to do short flicks but when I'm trying to turn my view from left to right, especially when I'm running, it's not very smooth or when it is smooth it's so slow that it's not helpful for how quickly I'm moving.
