About this deal

Blue 25mm badge with NHS written in white and the letter S has been substituted for the classic superman/super hero logo. During the Reign of the Supermen story arc, Each of the four different Supermen was represented by a variant of the symbol, which each wore on their person. John Byrne had a great run on the X-Men comic for Marvel, and DC approached him to work on Superman.

The frost breath does too much currently (freezes projectiles, freezes enemies, slows enemies, does damage, windboxes enemies away. However, Shuster (who appears to have been influenced by the art deco style of typography prevalent at the time) had created earlier versions of the 3D Superman logo when he and Jerry Siegel first collaborated on the idea of a Superman character in 1933. Alternatively, the yellow coloring represents our sun here on earth, which activates Superman’s powers. The shield was actually brown and white instead of red and gold because that looked better on-screen. The following yellow and red logos were closer to the earlier superman logos, but the yellow coloring was much paler and less dramatic.

This logo was used during the Silver Age and Bronze Age eras of DC Comics until the end of the comic book series Crisis on Infinite Earths. Clark would later develop various superhuman abilities, such as incredible strength and impervious skin. In 1940, with the “Superman” title in full swing, DC Comics in-house designer Ira Schnapp created a cleaner version of the logo. The fair was also the first live-action appearance of Superman, played by an unidentified actor thought to be Ray Middleton . The “S” symbol not only means Superman but also suggests Saving Lives, Stopping Crime and providing Super-Aid wherever needed.A variation of the symbol, designed as a stubbed red lightning bolt against a black shield has been used in several media, including an Elseworlds where Darkseid raised Kal-El, and was the basis of one of the final season of Superman: The Animated Series, and an episode named Brave New Metropolis from an alternate reality where Superman and Luthor took over Metropolis.

Clark originally believed that it was his family crest, but witnessed greater cultural significance surrounding it in his historical texts and came to understand that it was a symbol of hope. This version was a fascistic Superman and his Justice Lords who assassinated President Lex Luthor and then ruled the world with an iron fist after Luthor arranged the murder of The Flash. The logo also appeared in the first episode of the series, when the students captured Clark by giving him a kryptonite necklace (which they didn't know was a weakness) and tied him to a cross-like beam in a cornfield and painted a red 'S' on Clark's chest (standing for Scarecrow, which was what he was meant to be as part of a high school hazing tradition) as a reference. This logo was designed by Joe Shuster and it was shaped like a yellow heraldic crest or a police badge with a red "S" inside. After the death of Superman, many DC Comics superheroes wore a black armband with the Superman logo. After Superman's death in the Funeral of a Friend storyilne, DC began using the shield as part of an advertising campaign - where it was seen at the top corner of comic covers and in the polybags that contained Superman (Vol. Although the duo had worked hard and received promising letters from Consolidated Book Publishing in regards to its publication, they eventually dropped out and the story was burned by Siegel, making it lost media. Throughout the years, the shield underwent several minor modifications to its appearance, depending on the style of the artist who is drawing it, but the main design was always kept the same.

The symbol kept its overall shape, but the "S" was much thicker than before and had a large, round end. Sure, our family shield can be a target, but it's also a badge of honor that I know you wear proudly each and every day.Ross would later work on other Superman and DC titles during the 2000's, with JSA Kingdom Come Special: Superman being his most recent work. Ross respects the traditional design while taking some liberties with it, like making the "S" more rounded and tweaking the lower point of the shield. Between 1941 and 1944, it underwent some elementary changes, experimenting with the color balance between yellow and red.
