Godard and countless others did this kind of thing way before Tarantino, but Pulp Fiction had a profound effect on Gen Xers because it spoke to their shared consciousness, which includes an infatuation with movies and, apparently, a fear of penetration. Like many Tarantino movies, the characters tend to witter away, but it's surprisingly funny and quotable ("ENGLISH, mother****er! Jackson’s Jules Winnfield, is more than a repository of disposable trivia and smart-alecky responses, embodying the film’s surface concern with righteousness and redemption. Eric's character complains about how he had asked for directions one time and was given incorrect instructions. Doch abgesehen von diesen einzelnen Kritikpunkten, hat man hier eine mehr als würdige DVD geschaffen, auf die man so gut eigentlich gar nicht mehr zu hoffen gewagt hat. Throughout, Tarantino giddily incorporates references to seemingly countless pop-cultural texts ( Kiss Me Deadly, Saturday Night Fever, and so on) into a farcical neo-noir Frankenstein that, not unlike Mary Shelly’s legendary monster itself, eventually turns on itself.

But despite the dark subject matter, it's a deliciously funny movie with a lot of quotable dialogue and endless pop culture references. Hier noch groß etwas über Inhalt und Qualität des Filmes zu sagen, wäre als würde Eulen in ein Athen tragen, in dem sich die Leute vor lauter Eulen nicht einmal mehr an der Nase kratzen können.
