My Alcoholic Escape from Reality (現実逃避してたらボロボロになった話, Genjitsu tōhi shitetara boroboro ni natta hanashi, literally "a story of coming apart when I escaped from reality") deals with Nagata's alcoholism and subsequent hospitalization for pancreatitis. Keywords that come to mind reading this instalment were love, deconstruction, intimacy, harm, growing up, sexuality and gender. Maybe it's that the freshness and uniquenessof "My Lesbian Experience" simply couldn't be recreated now that it was in the world - after all it was so unlike anything before it, but all her works after invariably must contain reflections of it.

hack told compelling stories set against the backdrop of MMORPG players being trapped in a game—or in some cases, being made comatose. A reviewer I follow had a hard time believing Nagata’s ‘shelteredness’ or lack of understanding about loving relationships, but it was believable to me, although it did make me wonder if she was perhaps also neuro-diverse as it reminded me of conversations I’ve had with people with autism. It's nowhere near as good as her debut, and even if you're unfamiliar with her work, I dont see how this volume would make you want to read anything else she's written.
