About this deal

Putting things together can be just as much of a pain as washing dishes, so when we discovered this Prepworks is ready to go out of the box, we fell in love. In addition, the spout is not compatible with many overmount sinks, and the smooth plastic feet slid around on our counter. When not drying dishes, it rolls up for easy, compact storage in a drawer or cabinet and it is silicone coated and heat safe to 400°F so it can also be used as a trivet to protect countertops from hot pots and pans or casserole dishes. Though the lawn name refers to the green color of the plastic, this drying rack is also available in white. If you think of a budget dish rack, you might have a plastic contraption in mind, but this affordable accessory from Argos is way more stylish with its cool rose gold finish.

Also, the drain tray is flat, so it pools water rather than angling it toward the spout to flow out properly.

To keep cleaning simple, racks shouldn’t separate into too many parts or require extra tools for disassembly. The plastic lids and cutting boards are held securely on the raised, rounded side, while large items fit on the flat side. Both tiers have drip trays to catch excess water, and although it's made from plastic, it’s pretty sturdy. The three divided sections in the ample utensil holder are another nice touch, as they let you organize your silverware and larger utensils as you see fit.

Find the balance between “small enough for your space” and “large enough for the dishes you wash every day. It’s made with stainless steel, which makes it sturdy enough to hold even your heaviest pots and pans. For example, the built-in drainage tray with a swivel spout features a hydrophilic coating that spreads water out to dry more efficiently and prevent mold buildup. While testing dish racks, we paid close attention, making sure excess water did not cover your countertops. The prongs offer flexibility for holding everything from standard dishes to oddly-shaped objects, and in testing, they held a lot of items without too much wobbling. She has reviewed books, movies and television shows, and now Ballard Brown is reviewing all (ok, maybe some) of the things. Of all the dish racks we tested, the KitchenAid Full Size Dish Rack offered the best balance of capacity and features for a four-person household.
