As in most Bosch/Ballard books there are a couple of other cases running - one that ends up being related to the Pearlman case, and one that has stuck with Harry for years, without any closure. Gonna kill off Harry as a bitter, suicidal old man with Cesium poisoning instead of sending him out in the blaze of glory he deserves? I especially like that Harry is training and influencing Renee Ballard because he sees a lot of himself in her.
