You also won't need a cutting mat thanks to the Cricut Joy's compatibility with Cricut Smart Materials, though you may wish to use cutting mats if you're using traditional vinyl.

But all in all for what it does it’s definitely worth it if your using it for more vinyl or iron on purposes! I already own a Cricut Explore, but as someone who occasionally needs to craft on the move I love the small size and portability.It's the perfect way to indulge your creativity, ideal for quick and easy projects anytime an idea sparks.

Sensors measure your material to ensure it’s large enough for your project, then your machine starts cutting. Just be warned that there are a few expenses (materials such as cutting mats and some designs in Design Space), but if you craft a lot then this will make a worthy investment. It is great for cutting small projects, making cards and decals and I love that it doubles as a label maker! Thank You Ashish and the amazing team at Cricut who invented, tested and marketed JOY, to the staff at Hobbycraft who didn’t mind me pressing my nose up against the window to see the display whilst waiting for the doors to open on release day and the cashiers for understanding and sharing in my excitement. With a padded interior for protection and custom pockets to keep you organized, use this beautiful bag to transport your machine with you so you’re always ready when creativity hits.I would say that, at the moment at least, there are a limited range of colours in the compatible pens.
