About this deal

In these situations, a split second is all it takes for you to make a mistake that will cost you a race. Finally, keep in mind that the ASUS PG248QP is planned for 2023 with a 1080p 540Hz TN panel, as well as the Dell Alienware AW2524H with a 1080p 500Hz IPS panel. You’ve probably come across some of ASUS’s gaming monitors before because they tend to come with advanced features, oftentimes industry-leading. I discovered that there is a gamma control in the Console Mode sub-menu, which is not usually found on Dell gaming monitors.

If you’re getting framerates that aren’t close to 360, and don’t want to upgrade your build any time soon, you might want to save your money. The massive stand for the Alienware AW2521H which keeps it steady is also flexible since it offers tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments. Overall, response is on another level, and motion clarity is superior to any 240 Hz screen we’ve encountered. The AW2521H is not an HDR or wide gamut monitor, instead hitting about 450 nits of maximum brightness and covering 92.It is effective but it reduces brightness and, in most cases, prevents the use of FreeSync or G-Sync. all professional gamers turn down all graphics and effects to maximize framerate and minimize any on screen distraction. With regards to the 1080p, I agree that it is not for me either, but some of the best gamers in the world still use 1080p higher refresh monitors with 240Hz+ and the reason for this is because they can play better with them than a higher res lower refresh monitor, as simple as that. You have the brand’s AlienFX app to manipulate the LEDs, but the bad news is it doesn’t synchronize with external RGB ecosystems like Razer Chroma or Asus Aura.

A high refresh rate monitor will significantly reduce the chances of this happening, provided your reaction times are on par. As a gaming monitor, the AW2523HF excels at what it's designed to do, deliver screamingly fast frame rates, smooth motion and imperceptible input lag. There are no cosmetic defects and the stand remains perfectly still even when the user is rigorously gaming or typing. However, due to the way sample-and-hold display technology works (LED and OLED, but not CRT and Plasma), some motion blur will still be noticeable.Noteworthy gaming features include Dark Stabilizer (improves visibility in darker games by altering the gamma curvature) and Game Enhance Mode (consists of an on-screen timer and a frame rate counter). However, the screen’s black luminance can still look washed out when viewed at night, but that’s natural for IPS anyway. The AW2521H is reasonably accurate without calibration but our adjustments (see our calibration settings on page 1) are well worth doing, since they make a visible improvement. This can be mitigated using the variable backlight option, which raises the number to around 1,300:1.

okay, I installed the Dell drivers for the monitor and made sure Vsync is turned to On in the Gsync control panel instead of use the 3d application setting and I'm no longer having this issue.

Acer has some really great monitors as part of their Predator series, but if you want the best possible gaming experience for competitive titles, it’s the Predator X25 you want to be looking at.
