The earpads make an annoying scratchy noise with my plastic glasses frame - so I take my glasses off when wearing them. Would have been an immediate return in the past for this - fortunately I had eye surgery and wear glasses just to look smart. Very good for long gaming sessions. The best gaming headphones IMO, are the ones that are best at reproducing binaural soundfields accurately. Newer game engines are becoming more realistic with spatial audio and headphones such as the 600 can actually create a more realistic sounding reproduction of a binaural sound field over the 598. It's the reason both HD700 and HD800 are good for gaming as well.

The H599 is a headphone you can perfectly use for watching movies and for listening to music to, it’s a great all-rounder. According to the company, this headphone has been designed to give the listener some home theatre level voice quality with many comforts. The large ear cups with soft and replaceable ear pads provide the user with immense comfort and an exceptional sound experience.P.S. I've noticed that the 598 sounds bit darker on my onboard compared to AMP, so that also could be the case for not having an amp. The impedance has been set at 50 ohms. This is relatively low in comparison to other headphones in a similar range. This allows you to pair it up with any device, be it a mobile phone, television, or laptop. You will feel the amplification of the sound done to perfection without causing any discomfort to the ears. I would recommend FiiO K3 ( low power @ ~200mW its like the E10K just new and better ) or the FiiO K5 ( no DAC, but you can use FiiO DAP as DAC - 1.5W ).

I've also did some research on the Massdrop AKG K7XX and seems like its level below 6XX / 4XX. The AD700X i know has huge soundstage, but probs arent that good in sound quality ( since they're around 60-100eur and i've seen used for like 40-50eur ). Lower-Bass is excellent. Very good for RapCaviar and other modern rap songs, may get in the way for songs using acoustics but you can EQ that down and problem solved. Doesn't remove detail, just is a distraction to it. The Sennheiser HD599 is a perfect choice for all audiophiles. It has an amazing bass quality that will give you quite an immersive listening experience. It offers a clear and crisp sound quality, which will offer a natural sound to the listener. Without too much emphasis/deemphasizing the mid bass, the frequencies of the sound profile are excellent.The HD 598 and HD 599 are extremely close in sound performance, with a slightly tweaked driver. Indeed the specs are the same – it’s mostly a facelift with different colour scheme and materials used. I also found out you can put the 598CS pads on the 599, this makes the sound closer and bass heavy, on the other hand the 599 pads on the 598CS makes the sound super tinny and just awful. I think the 599 is basically a perfect headphone, for my taste as is, I don't even need to EQ the bass unless I'm listening to literal basshead stuff. I wish I could try the HD600 "to see what lies beyond that" but I can't afford them.
