I’ve seriously struggled with my skin but hid it from practically everyone I knew for years — which, if you’ve read my blog, was totally not the right decision. But regardless of that story, it did an amazing job at covering up my red, swollen, cystic acne. And the new version? In all honesty, the formula doesn’t seem to have changed (and I’m damn well pleased about it). It still covers redness instantly, neutralises my under eye circles and works its magic on even the angriest of spots! I bought Shade 5 Fair, Shade 10 Buttermilk and Shade 8 Beige. Before the new release, I had a routine of mixing Shade 5 (previously shade Fair) and Shade 10 (previously Warm Medium) together. It seemed to create the perfect yellowy-pale tone for my skin! Previously named 2, Cool Medium And this is me with my finished makeup. The concealer is the only thing I used for coverage, before following with Collection’s pressed powder in translucent. But, even better, the new shade Beige (a light shade with a yellow undertone) seems to do the job in one step now. So, instead, I’ll probably use Fair to highlight and Buttermilk when I’ve got a tan. This long-lasting miracle working concealer helps cover and conceal whilst fighting those nasty blemishes and visible pores. It soothes and softens the appearance of visible pores, uneven skin tones and fine lines. Collection have recently revamped this concealer, so I thought there was no better time to write a review. Does it still top my list of drugstore concealers? Let’s take a little look at my honest review of the Lasting Perfection Concealer… A high coverage stretchable concealer, comfortable on skin and doubles as an eyeshadow base. [Previously named, 0, Extra Fair] Claims: Collection claim this is a ‘vegan, mattifying, full-coverage concealer that lasts up to 16 hours. Second-skin matte concealer that covers and conceals in one application. Stay confidently flawless with the full-coverage skin-like formulation. Perfect for camouflaging dark circles, discolouration, redness and more.’ Shade 8 Beige– For light to medium skin tones with a yellow undertone. [Previously named 1B, Warm Fair]For the coverage this concealer offers, combined with how creamy and blendable the formula is, I honestly don’t believe there’s a better concealer on the market. In fact, I’d call it the best concealer for acne in the UK. And that comes from someone who had cystic acne for 10 years — I’m a good concealer tester, let me tell you! One tiny, teeny downside, though — when I was taking Accutane for my acne, this wasn’t such a good match for my skin. My skin was very dry and flaky and I found that this product clung to any dry patches — but in all fairness, I found that to happen with most products I tried at that stage. Anyway, I’d say this is worth using with caution for those with very dry skin. My normal skin type is normal-oily and slightly acne-prone (yep, even now) and it works perfectly again now. So, here is my with Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on half my face. Let’s be honest, due to me insanely dark hereditary under eye shadows (thanks, Mum), it’s not hard to tell which one. Pair with one of Collection’s Lasting Perfection Foundation shades, now formulated to perfectly match each concealer shade, making it easier to shop your base than ever before.
