Although you can only collect up to 5x Dreambloom Petal or 5x Iridescent Ore Fragments per week, there is some carry-over if you don't actually get the +3 item. For example, if in week 1, you collect only 3x Iridescent Ore Fragments and carry those into week 2 without using them, you can still collect 5x Iridescent Ore Fragments in week 2. Keeping these +1 items doesn't hamper your ability to collect 5 the following week. The equivalent to the rare side gather is the random crafting item drop. These can come out of treasures or, less commonly, as mob drops. These seem to be very sparse even compared to the rare side gathers for gathering professions. Non-repeatable means you can only do a specific thing once -- ever. If a method is not repeatable, it means you can never do that specific thing again to get the +Knowledge, even if you unlearn the profession and learn it again later.
