About this deal

Peach Cobbler is a slightly muted, medium-dark burnt orange with warm undertones and a matte finish. The color payoff was good–very nearly opaque–and easily built up to full coverage with just a smidgen more product layered on top. The texture was soft and blendable, though it did feel on the drier side in the pan, and was still a thinner eyeshadow. It started to crease on me after seven hours of wear. Peach Tart is a dark brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out without turning patchy, despite having a thinner texture. It was not powdery nor was it stiff in the pan, though it had a drier feel overall that emphasized my lid’s texture a bit without primer. This shade wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Do you think some of the under-performance it’s because you used it with Enigma instead of the Anti-Aging Primer? My impressions of the palette are that the shades are really, really dupable and the ones that I like I have lots of. Yea I read that–and I’m not asking what I mean correctly, I don’t think…My communication is suffering lately! I think my palette blush is a dud, so I am asking a lot of inane questions, as well. She has normal-to-dry skin with occasional dryness on cheeks and nose. She has a light plus skintone with subtle, warmer yellow undertones ( view her foundation matches here).

It is interesting how the average ends up working out! Like testing it, it felt decent, but when they were bad, they were REALLY bad, which dragged down the palette as a whole.

Chocolate Dipped is a deep brown with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had good color payoff in a single layer, though it needed a second layer for full coverage. The texture was smooth to the touch with dryness present, but it did not seem to inhibit the application, as I was able to diffuse and blend it out without issue. It lasted for just over seven hours on me.Sweet Peach Blush is a medium, orange-coral with warm undertones and a golden shimmer-sheen finish. The pigmentation was mostly opaque, and you could easily build the coverage up to opaque with just a touch more product. The consistency was smooth, blendable, and easy to work with on the skin, but the powder itself had a firmer texture in the pan, so it was better applied with a denser brush rather than something really feathery. This shade started to fade after nine hours of wear. Peach Punch is a vibrant, medium-dark pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The intensity of this one seemed to fade within five to ten minutes of application something more muted, though it was still quite pigmented and stayed opaque on the lid. It had a smooth, drier texture that was blendable on the lid. The color wore well for seven hours before fading noticeably. My general review stands the same, though, which is that Too Faced’s formula begs for an eyeshadow primer. It is typically thinner and dustier such that the eyeshadows will sheer out or apply unevenly (or turn patchy when blended) without primer underneath. There are many formulas that at least apply well (even if they don’t last all day) without primer, but Too Faced’s eyeshadow formula is particularly difficult to use well without primer across the board–application, pigmentation, blendability, and longevity. The palette does have a strong, sweet peach scent, though I can’t smell it once applied to the lid.
