One Moment Please released at just the right time when I needed to escape into a book that made me laugh while also making me feel and gave me the sweetest happily ever after. Of course Daw wouldn’t give us just a simple (and boring) reason like the condom broke or they forgot to use protection. Amy Daws delivers again with this fantastic enemies to lovers romance that hit all the sweet spots!
She is one of my favorite authors for so many reasons and One Moment Please did not disappoint (especially since I’m not a huge fan of the surprise pregnancy trope!). What I loved most was her honestly and her ability to share what she needed. Plus, she has the best friends in the world in Dean and Kate who were just great in this book. Honestly, I loved it more than I thought I would. I'm pretty tired of the egotistical male character trope, domineering the life of the female character just because, but not reciprocating. That being said, the female character is very emotionally mature, and fun, and witty, and the male lead has more to offer than being hot and bangable. I seriously jump for joy whenever Amy Daws announces a new book release because I just know I’m going to love it. It was an enjoyable read - took a while for Josh to stop being closed off which was frustrating but otherwise he was an okay character.
And it just felt like sex was used as a crutch in the book. This is a romance and there was no real romance. I mean, lots of steam if that's what you're into... but I want to fall in love with the characters as they fall in love with each other. I just didn't feel love. The love seemed forced at the last second to wrap up thy HEA. Which do you like better: enemies to lovers stories or surprise pregnancies? Let me know in the comments below! Book Lists With This Book: Also, it seemed odd that an 8 year old would be hiding behind her aunt's legs shyly and saying "I'm not little". As an aunt myself, that was such a 3-5 year old thing. After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head and now instead of hating each other, they’re horizontal in a bed. Most 8 year old girls start acting like pre-pre-teens thanks to socialization at school, paydates with friends and just general growing up. Even if shy, the hiding behind people stage and saying "I'm not widdle, I'm a big girl" is pretty much over.

So the author really needs to research a little more before throwing in religion as a plot device, and know a little about kids and where they would be maturity wise at certain ages to keep it from being cringe. It is well written with great character development, unexpected twists and an even better story of love, pain, fiction, thriller, fantasy and literature. This book is a good for mystery, suspenseful, literature, action and fantasy read. It’s almost like you are a superhero and your special power is writing words that will increase all emotions, feelings, excitements out of all who read it. This is a great, tragic story. The feels are real with this book. This is an easy read, one you’ll devour in a sitting or two.Of course it came along with some signature Daws banter and OMG laugh out loud moments which I’ve come to expect from her books but it also delivered some really poignant prose to make me fall in love with these characters. One Moment Please was a great love story of loss, anguish, jealousy, attraction, and a slew of other emotions. Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he’s grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie. Without spoiling it, though I think it’s been a teaser for the book, the reason behind this oops pregnancy is hilarious. You just don’t find out the particulars for a bit. I loved however how their time together slowly opens him up so that he’s no longer such a closed-off man, even if he can’t see it.
