The therapists taught my helpers how to help and do the exercises with my mum. Their patience, care and dedication helped my mum to gain some independence. The speech therapists were also wonderful. With a collective effort from all sides we could reduce my mum's visits to the hospital and that was indeed a huge blessing. A big heartfelt thanks to everyone in my Mum's therapy team! Therapists who provide home-based therapy must keep professional boundaries during home visits. People who wish to use home-based therapy may find it helpful tobe mindful of its limits.
