About this deal

Something that caught my eye is there seems to be 2 G.Fast options, since i don't know what's what I've left as default... The Vigor167 is characterized by its diverse compatibility with most DSL variants and profiles. It supports everything from DSL Light to the most common VDSL and ADSL variants, such as Profile 17a, with and without vectoring, to Profile 35b supervectoring.

Anyone used the Vigor 167 with FTTC. I tried Bridge mode – the software refers it to simplistically as modem mode ie no advanced settings like the previous gen had. Anyway, I've changed the modem code from the default 5.12.24.0 to 5.12.18.17 (5.12.18.16 was not an option with the only other option being 5.12.23.5)Vigor167 product news 9-april-2021 In German, but (basic) translation below: https://www.draytek.de/aktuelle-news-lesen/items/vigor167-neu-annexa-telekom-testcenter-annexb-modem-supervectoring.html Hi the MTU is set at 1520 on the modem but because the router (a tplink vr2800) will not do 1500 ive set it to 1492 which appiers to be the max it supports. Provides Annex A modem code 572d07 & 570e01, and Annex B modem code 565607 & 567002.Recommended for Netherlands. (G.Vectoring) 3.9.8.4-07v

DrayTek's Vigor 167 is an ideal modem to connect your DrayTek Vigor router, or any Router and Firewall, to a DSL line. Unfortunately this Model does not have a scheduled reboot feature due to its main function being a bridge modem. May be in the future Draytek will include but for the latest firmware to date i.e 5.2.1 . There is no scheduled reboot either in bridge or router mode. There is also no CLI command to do a sys tem reboot. I will make a wish request for Australian users but there will be no ETA. Oh that's pretty interesting. I like the idea of squeezing more speed, although at 1,100m from my node there probably isn't much I can do anyway. I changed modem code to 5.12.18.16 and the FTTN 50/20 connection has been up for 31hrs. My NBN connections typically stay up for 1 to 4.5 days (ADSL2 despite being slower was so much more stable than NBN). b. The default Modem Code is 5.12.24.0. However, it is possible to select two other Modem Codes, being:

3.1 Network Connection

I've been having the same issue recently... I have since upgraded the firmware to Vigor167_v5.1.2_STD Did you know we can configure this item prior to shipment meaning it will automatically work out of the box. Using our TR-069 provisioning platform, we can pre-configure generic and customer specific settings prior to despatch. View more information about our router provisioning.

Yes I tried it connected directly to my PC ,Not sure how to set up a static IP, but I'll have a google about that. So your OPenWRT router is a client to the Draytek on one of the LAN ports. SO Draytek allocates and routes to it via LAN1.If I reboot or power off/on then DSL reconnects and goes through the DSL light flashing and status => Training then resyncs. Seems to be a rev-up of existing Vigor 165 - with some indication that the Vigor 165 will be replaced in the lineup. The Vigor 166 remains as is - it has a different chipset, the chipset that supports G.FAST connections. The only means of running the second "router" ...with all devices on that having same network as the primary... is to disable the routing and DHCP functions, turning it into a switch. Any wifi features are tied to the switch so nothing to configure there. Hi folks and Mr Dreytek, I've just replaced a DM200 (which was apparently confusing poor Mr NBN due SRA ?!?!) with a Dreytek Vigor167. Upgraded it to latest software (5.2), connecting was easy enough, and all seems to happy. Each DrayTek modem is designed to offer stability and extensive compatibility across internet providers for a seamless online experience. We have two Wi-Fi modem models available, so it’s important to understand the benefits of each and choose the product that best suits your needs:

Thanks very much for the replies – indeed, this is what I was missing. With 192.168.1.10 set as the laptop static IP, subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.1.1 it all worked fine. Have updated firmware to 5.0.1 now. My FTTN connection is terrible so even if there's a slight chance of an improvement in stability/speeds by upgrading the fw... I'll do it.NBN recommends to use the NBN supplied modem which does provide power to the DPU to interface your broadband router to FTTC. Standard (plaintext) HTTP is disabled, and encrypted TLS/SSL is in use. Use a https prefix to access the router WUI using SSL/TLS. Can i ask what MTU yours set? Also did you make ANY changes at all to your settings when connecting this up? On the plus side it does work fine in bridge mode giving the same speed as my BT HH on an older router (I've sent off for a new faster one)
