About this deal

Even better than The Stalker, I can't recommend this book highly enough. The best psychological thriller I've read this year and sure to be a contender for my book of the year.

I don't know why people are saying that this film was an abomination and advising others not to see it, because it has all if the element required in a fantastic horror. Reilly, Luke (April 14, 2015). "Joss Whedon, Lionsgate Facing Lawsuit Over The Cabin in the Woods". IGN. Archived from the original on December 26, 2018 . Retrieved December 26, 2018. I've finished reading The Cabin In The Woods by @sarahaldersonauthor and I rate it 5 brilliant stars 🌟 Amazing. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it. The plot was nice, the characters were fleshed out but it was the pacing that was the real winner here. I want to put my hands on everything Sarah has written and read it all in a day. She's very good. Mordecai calls the Organization to give a deep monologue about being serious with the job, only to be laughed at by Sitterson and Hadley. Lin tells them that the Chemistry Department is prepared and had even managed to plant chemicals in Jules' hair dye to make her sexually active.Rose & Daisy have an awful start to life with their abusive drug addict father. Rose finally meets the man of her dreams who whisks her into the heart of New York Society. She finally has the perfect ending or does she?

Charity, Tom (April 13, 2012). "Review: 'Cabin in the Woods' is sheer horror heaven". CNN. Archived from the original on December 26, 2018 . Retrieved December 26, 2018.

Rose and her sister Daisy live with their druggie dad until he dies. Then they go to live with their maternal grandfather where he teaches Daisy survival life skills.

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times gave the film three out of four stars, saying that " The Cabin in the Woods has been constructed almost as a puzzle for horror fans to solve. Which conventions are being toyed with? Which authors and films are being referred to? Is the film itself an act of criticism?" [36] Peter Travers of Rolling Stone gave the film 3.5 out of 4 stars, calling it "fiendishly funny". Travers praised Kristen Connolly and Fran Kranz for their performances, and wrote, "By turning splatter formula on its empty head, Cabin shows you can unleash a fire-breathing horror film without leaving your brain or your heart on the killing floor." An international co-production film between the United States and Canada, principal photography began on March 9, 2009, in Vancouver, [9] and concluded in May 2009. Joss Whedon co-wrote the script with Cloverfield screenwriter Drew Goddard, who also directed the film, marking his directorial debut. Goddard previously worked with Whedon on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel as a writer. West, Kelly (July 6, 2012). "Cabin In The Woods Blu-Ray/DVD Bonus Content Announced". CinemaBlend. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint (which is barely one) is that the big reveal at the end relied on keeping readers in the dark but that wasn't a huge deal. It was satisfying to see everything wrap up well AND they were all due to the MC's actions, not coincidences. The Final Frontiersman: Heimo Korth and His Family, Alone in Alaska’s Arctic Wilderness by James Campbell The characters. The villain is despicable (especially because he is so similar to a lot of modern-day politicians). The main character is so sympathetic and I rarely felt annoyed by any of her actions, even if they were clearly the wrong ones. Clown - Serial-killeresque clown evoking Pennywise. The clown is shot three times with a pistol without showing any outward effect other than slight jerks when the bullets hit. This rules out a reference to a John Wayne Gacy normal human killer clown. Generic reference: It (1990), Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988). [Bet on by Electric]

A super enjoyable thriller. Rose Ried is injured and hiding in the cabin in the woods. Learning the how and the why will lead you down a familiar tale told differently and in a very engaging manner. This novel is thrilling and twisty with great atmosphere. I loved the I could not guess the plot! I recommend it to all who love a domestic thriller, a fairy tale gone bad or a creepy story. Now, more than three decades later, Heimo lives with his wife and two daughters approximately 200 miles from civilization—a sustainable, nomadic life bounded by the migrating caribou, the dangers of swollen rivers, and by the very exigencies of daily existence. The Cabin in the Woods (2011)". I am only sorry I read a review, prior to ready the novel, which gave away too much information and therefore partially spoilt my reading experience. So no storyline nor character information will slip into my review! Sharkey, Betsy (April 13, 2012). "Review: 'The Cabin in the Woods' is Joss Whedon's inside joke". Los Angeles Times. Archived from the original on January 2, 2018 . Retrieved December 26, 2018. Fast paced, emotional, gripping, exciting, great multi-layered characters (the good, the bad, and the really ugly), and a perfect ending!
