I had seen one of his books at the local bookstore, and I had to wonder about the star of "Little Britain" becoming such a popular children's writer that his books were translated into Norwegian.

The mom, daughter, and brother were all survivors of an extremely physically abusive father (mom’s ex), the children at a very young age that very clearly caused them immense trauma that manifested as mental health issues (ADHD, violent outbursts, inability to regulate emotions, several other things all piled together). I became involved years after that man was out of the picture.With that being said, the most frustrating for me was a mother who was emotionally and mentally abusive to a daughter who has mental health issues. Once again the collaboration between David Walliams and Tony Ross was absolutely perfect. Tony Ross’ illustrations added an extra dimension to David Walliams’ wonderful stories. I honestly cant wait to see what these two come out with next.

I met parents who didn’t let his kid get into other parents cars for car pooling as it was too much of a liability issue. These parents also have a zero violence tolerance for video games. I was nice to him because I felt bad for him and I guess in his mind, that meant we were friends so I got to know him slightly better than you would a standard coworker. He did have a learning disability (so helicopter mom’s got a valid concern) but he wasn’t retarded or slow. He was a fully capable adult. Although I bought this with an Audible credit with the intention of listening to it with the kids I actually started listening to it myself without them. But then it was so good I had share it with the kids so essentially I’ve listened to it twice. And some stories even three times!

This is a mother who is obsessed with dogs. I think obsessed is an understatement. This story id all over the place. It will take me ages to write and hours for you to read if I completely explain this so I'll try to be detailed while explaining in brief. So her husband is allergic to dogs but after a lot of explanation and pleading to her husband the husband made one condition....that her wife can only buy 1 dog so... Posy outsmarted her husband and bought the biggest breed of dog you can a TIBETAN MASTIFF!! And she treated the dog better than her own family literally at a point the dog(s) took over the entire house but I'll get to that... so one afternoon after Peaches Pooch(her daughter) and her husband came home to find ANOTHER TIBETAN MASTIFF! Posy thought that the dog needed a wife....... then........she gave birth to not one....not two....not three but.... a WHOPPING 99 PUPPIES!! I would give this story more stars again if it wasn't for the ending. I know the mother was obsessed with dogs but would you just let her go off to another island? That was kinda disturbing to me.... She believed smoking so many cigarettes was helping her baby’s development, forcing its lungs to strengthen to accommodate all the harsh chemicals. kids are always naked, even when strangers are over and often are running through the halls of their apartment building naked and alone. Charlie actually believed quitting smoking would’ve been detrimental to her baby’s health. Like how when you’re bashing your face into a wall you don’t want to stop because you know deep down anything that causes that much facial bruising must somehow be good for you.Pinch your nose for Peter Pong, the man with the stinkiest feet in the world… jump out of the way of Harriet Hurry, the fastest mum on two wheels… watch out for Monty Monopolize, the dad who takes all his kids’ toys… and oh no, it’s Supermum!
