I haven't tried "Ice", I've been using nail UV gel (doesn't make felt pen run), which can separate, doesn't really soak into the surface... and coatings that have to be set in the oven don't work for me because I often curve the shrink item... I made a huge booboo with my first bunch (about a year ago) trying to cut on the lines. You cut about 3-5mm away from your outside line. Take a look at my photos for details. You could flatten your Shrinky Dinks more by pressing them flat with folded paper. However, this step may not be necessary.
