Andy thanks his toys for all they've done for him, and drives off into the distance as Woody and the others watch on. Throughout the franchise, Woody goes to extraordinary lengths to be there for his child. And while his ego in getting replaced plays some role in his motivations, his real determination is that he sees it as his job to be there for Andy.
