Forbidden Desires is a nice read to try if you want some delicious and thigh-pressing smut with an (non-predatory and with both consenting adults) age gap and an easy-to-follow and fast-paced romance story. It kept me hooked from the start! Sebastian's world came crashing down when his sister and her husband died in a fatal car accident. Now he is raising his 3 year old niece which he knows nothing about taking care of kids. He's a work-aholic who never saw himself as a family man but he knew his sister would want Emme (his niece) to be with him. So, he does what every other work-aholic does and get a nanny. Multiple partners. This is Americans’ top erotic daydream. Almost everyone reported having it—87 percent of the women, 95 percent of the men. The top multi-partner fantasy involved threesomes, with moresomes not far behind. Many people fantasized of many men and women playing together (swinging, orgies), while others focused on one person having sex with many others (gangbangs). I absolutely loved this first installment and I can't wait to read the second part. I really can't recommend this book and this series enough, it's outstanding!

The first half of Raven and Bertram's epic love story starts centuries before the very first book. In this one, we get to see what brought them together, how they're actually the first of the family to become mates, and everything that has happened between the two up to Clutch. This is a short and spicy age gap novella; it's only 9 chapters and it reminded me of a cold open the way it sets up the events for the upcoming full length novel next year. So this is the ever evasive Bertram's story. Bertram is one of the Drake brothers and he has quite a tale of woe himself. He's been taken from his brothers when he was very little, was raised away from the family to become Grimbold's second hand man, the secret agent for the dragon council, representing the Drake clan. He had to develop a whole new persona and did countless ruthless things in the name of peace and safety for the dragon world. We have Serena who is a 20 y/o woman looking for a job. She also happens to be Elis's sister from the first book. She gets set up with a job interview to be a nanny, which she is only intending on doing temporarily until she can finish school and become a teacher. He soon to be boss is a sexy 36 y/o lawyer, Sebastian. When his sister and her husband are tragically lost in an accident, he assumed guardianship of his 3 y/o niece Emme. He knows his attraction to Serena is wrong, and he tries so hard to stay in the employer zone. But seeing her with Emme, her concern for them both, and fits so well in their lives, he just can't not have her. There is so much emotion between the two - unease, unsure trust, to love and then the emotional fall out when decisions have to be made. I adore Sorin, my heart breaks for him and I love his courage and strength. And I love that he really brings out all the good to Bertram, and ultimately makes Bertram into a better man.For those of use who get off on daddy k!nk, this is the book, add some br33ding kink, a bit of degradation, dash of c*m play and paise k!nk and some other stuff as well, and you’ll have your next read! I'm also SO glad the wait for the second part isn't that long! Now I can't wait to see more moments that we have gotten to see in the other stories from Sorin/Betram's POV, and really find out what is going on during the earlier books. I can't wait for the final book (although I'm sad it's THE final book) but I know it's going to be amazing. I had a feeling that Raven would force me to reevaluate everything I thought I knew about Bertram and his mate, and that's absolutely what this story did. Piece by piece, I learned the unedited truth of Sorin's past, experienced a small fraction of the horrors that shaped him into the man I met throughout the rest of the series, and fell head over heels for his and Bertram's love connection. I genuinely didn't know how happy this book would be, but despite all of the horrible truths there were plenty of sweet and satisfying moments as Bertram and Sorin fell in love. Bertram was such a mysterious and unknown brother throughout the rest of this series, so finally getting to uncover some of his secrets and see what a good heart he had felt even more exciting to me. His connection with Sorin grew slowly, and at first they were absolutely enemies, but over time their preconceived ideas about each other shifted until the last of their reservations had vanished entirely. I really enjoyed seeing Bertram's perspective shift over time as he started to believe Sorin about his awful mistreatment at the hands of dragons, and seeing him get personally involved in the fight to free omegas was awesome. Sorin's trust initially only extended as far as Bertram would allow him access to his children, but over time they grew into such a sweet family unit with lots of happy memories together. That's not to say that all of this story was happy--Bertram and Sorin's relationship could only ever be a secret, and as a result they had long periods of separation that weighed on each of them. Sorin was also dealing with severe mental and emotional trauma from his past, and he had to fight every day to keep the negative voices in his head from taking over. There was also the sinister mystery of Sorin's power hanging over their heads, business with the dragon council forcing them apart, and Drake family surprise visits to keep them on their toes, but Bertram and Sorin never wavered in their love for one another. Life threw so much at the two of them, and still every time they came together it was a joyous, passionate reunion with deep love tying them together. I can't wait to see where the second half of their journey will take them, and I'm already bracing myself for some difficult moments before (hopefully) they get their happy ending.
