About this deal

Adults, the elderly and children: Apply to the affected areas of skin as often as required. Smooth gently into the skin, following the direction of the hair growth. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Emollients are best applied after washing your hands, taking a bath or showering because this is when the skin most needs moisture. Emollient soap substitutes that are used instead of normal soap in the bath or shower are not usually available on the NHS. How to get emollients Emollients are moisturising treatments applied directly to the skin to soothe and hydrate it. They cover the skin with a protective film to trap in moisture.

Fragrance-free 2-in-1 moisturising cream and wash with natural oatmeal (avena sativa kernal flour) for use in the management of dry skin conditions as may be found in eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, ichthyosis, elderly pruritus and other dry skin conditions. Adverse reactions:

Apply the cream to the skin. Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults, the elderly and children: A thin application of the cream should be gently massaged into the skin three times daily or at appropriate intervals. When used as a protective barrier cream, Zeroguent should be applied sparingly to the affected areas of the skin before or immediately after exposure to a potentially harmful factor. Date of preparation: They help prevent patches of inflammation and flare-ups of these conditions. Types of emollients LotionsAdults, the elderly and children: Apply to the affected areas of skin two or three times a day. Rub well into the skin. FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults: Add 20ml to a standard bath of warm water (8 inches deep). Infants and Children: Add 5ml to a small bath (25 litres) or washbasin of warm water. Immerse and cover the affected areas and soak for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, gently sponge over the affected areas repeatedly. Pat dry with a towel. Date of preparation: If you're using a steroid cream or another treatment for your skin condition, wait 20 to 30 minutes between using an emollient and using the other treatment. Ask a doctor which one to use first. Also contains: lanolin anhydrous, glyceryl monostearate, cetyl alcohol, sodium cetostearyl sulphate, citric acid monohydrate, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, phenoxyethanol, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), ethylhydroxybenzoate (E214), propyl hydroxybenzoate, butyl and isobutyl hydroxybenzoate and purified water. Purified Water, Glycerol 12.6% w/w, Liquid Paraffin 5% w/w, Isopropyl Palmitate, Distearyldimonium Chloride, Avena Sativa Kernal Flour, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimeticone, White Soft Paraffin, Benzyl Alcohol, Allantoin, Stearyl Alcohol, Microcrystalline Wax, Myristyl Alcohol, Sodium Chloride. liquid paraffin 40% w/w, white soft paraffin 30% w/w, cetearyl alcohol and polysorbate 60. Indications: Be careful not to slip when using emollients in a bath or shower, or on a tiled floor. Protect the floor with a non-slip mat, towel or sheet. Wear protective gloves, wash your bath or shower afterwards with hot water and washing-up liquid, then dry with a kitchen towel. Skin irritation from aqueous cream Zeroderm Ointment is a rich emollient used to moisture and soften dry skin in eczema, dry cases of psoriasis and other dry skin conditions. It is suitable for all ages and may also be used as a skin cleanser or bath additive. Infants and children: Add 5-10ml to a small bath or wash basin of water. Immerse and cover the affected areas with the bath water and soak for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, repeatedly sponge over the affected areas. Pat dry with a towel. Use as often as required.
