About this deal

Regardless of their tiny stature and minimalist price tag, they resonate great presence and depth. They have been calibrated with a flared bass reflex port to counter their compact nature and get optimal bass quality. They are a classic wood design and stylishly retro in appearance. The wood helps to accentuate the sound quality. The problem with onboard laptop speakers is that they are simply too small to put out the volume or frequency response that you need to actually enjoy music and experience movies. The volume goes quite a bit higher than your average laptop speakers, but leave something to be desired with their highest setting. Another interesting fact about this speaker is that it only connects to your device via the USB2.0 port. There's no 3.5mm output or any other one.

They are an eye-catching classic wood-finished set with an active and a passive speaker. The 13mm silk dome tweeters provide natural sounds at studio quality. The bass reflex port enclosure has been carefully calibrated to help to provide optimal sound free of bass distortion. The bass driver is 4 inches and pretty impressive. Many audio systems in this price range show cost-cutting in their design or performance, but not these Logitech speakers. The highs are superb, and the bass is surprisingly strong. What’s more, with the easy-to-use remote control , you can change the volume and attach headphones while silencing the speakers with a fingers snap. Laptops are smaller and more portable than ever. This is convenient when you are on the move, but this inhibits their use as an entertainment center when you are using them at home. These speakers are 3.5 x 3.9 x 6.3 inches each, making them one of the smallest Logitech has produced. They have a simple rounded design with a hideously outdated cloth grill covering the speakers. You need to consider how much space you have for your speaker system and find a set with a suitable footprint. The last thing you need is a huge speaker system dominating a tiny space when you can get a much smaller option for half the price that will still sound amazing. With a frequency response of 90Hz-20kHz, the low end isn’t as full as it could be. But again, don’t expect too much in this price range. They have highly responsive Class AB amplifiers and are equipped with flexible input and output features (including a subwoofer output) that cover the three most typical studio set-up styles. There's an in-depth manual for tailoring your sound to your needs. And in case you fancy a subwoofer later, you can easily add to this set. This single speaker is low profile at 2.4 x 15.7 x 2.2 inches and is meant to sit under your computer screen. But its unique form factor is ultimately hit or miss.

The Katana SE is slim enough at just 3.1 inches (78mm) high to fit neatly under your desktop monitor — though it also comes with custom wall-mounting hardware for those who want to mount it under a monitor or TV. It features four drivers — two 4.3-inch (109mm) midrange drivers, and two 2.1-inch (54mm) tweeters — each of which is individually powered by dual DSP-controlled stereo amps. The result is clear, great-sounding audio and a soundbar that gets impressively loud: while the Katana SE managed a maximum of 74.5dBA at 50% volume in our testing, it hit a significantly higher maximum of 92.7dBA at 100% volume. Whether or not its shape meets your needs, it offers some solid stereo separation and from such a small speaker bar.

Bluetooth: Bluetooth speakers are a category all on their own, and they’re not very well-suited to acting as desktop PC speakers (nor are they very economical if you don’t need the portability). Bluetooth isn’t a necessity in PC speakers, but the added versatility can be a bonus — especially if you frequently switch between systems and/or devices. The Logitech Z313 computer speakers with subwoofer are meant to save space on your desktop and improve your listening experience with their tight control pod and easy access to controls. What matters is the sound. Both USB and 3.5mm are capable of producing excellent sound quality. It doesn’t matter whether which one you go for, so long as it sounds good and works for you. The volume goes decently high, but the heavy distortion you experience means you’ll likely end up listening at 80% volume. Now, as for the sound quality, it’s pretty solid. At this price, all you need is a clear and balanced sound, and the S111 delivers. A speaker this size has virtually no bass, but it is definitely an upgrade over the silver dollar-sized speakers you were probably using before. If this speaker only came with a mounting kit and perhaps a longer set of cables, it would be the ideal mini-soundbar for use with a desktop or laptop. But even without these accessories, it is still a competitive choice.

Its new built-in USB and SD inputs along with Bluetooth connectivity, are fantastic additions, putting this powered speaker in a new competitive field. The Bluetooth has been refined extensively to a high-end capability, ensuring lag-free sound with great fidelity and zero cross-channel interference. These speakers are 16cm tall and they connect to your laptop or desktop via the USB2.0 cable that comes with them.
