About this deal

We are sorry to see you are having issues with a wobbly Tripp Trapp. It should be noted that Tripp Trapp chairs can be assembled in a way that makes them wobbly and the utmost care must be taken when assembling the chair to avoid any such issues. Besides the visual guidelines provided within the User Guide, we ask that you try to reassemble the chair with a set of specific guidelines in an effort to resolve the issues you are facing. Doing so would spare you the time it would take for a new set of legs to arrive, as reassembly is an inevitable part of the solution. Additionally, in case the chair is not assembled in accordance with the guidelines, the wobbling issue would present itself even with a brand new set of legs. Of course, it may well happen in some cases that a child grows faster than the norm and outgrows the Baby Set™ before it reaches the maximum age advertised."

Tripp Trapp® is an ingenious chair designed by Peter Opsvik that revolutionized the children's chair category in 1972, when the Tripp Trapp® was first launched. Tripp Trapp® fits right up to your dining table, bringing your baby into the heart of your family, allowing him or her to learn and develop alongside you. The intelligent, adjustable design allows freedom of movement with both depth and height adjustable seat and footplates. When adjusted correctly, your child is ensured a comfortable and ergonomic seating position at any age. This chair plus baby set and harness configuration provides everything your child needs from 6 months to 3 years. As your child grows and becomes more active, eager to explore the whole table, they will try to reach further than the Stokke™ Tripp Trapp® high chair allows, which is when the Stokke™ Tripp Trapp® safety harness is incredibly useful. To prevent your little one from climbing out, Stokke™ offers a 5-point harness for additional safety. The harness still provides the freedom of movement to eat and play but keeps your baby safely in their Tripp Trapp® chair.

Adjust the Harness to fit the size of your child. This product can be washed in a washing machine at 40 degrees Celsius. Do not tumble dry. Do not use this product if straps and fastenings show signs of wear and damage. Ensure that you have assembled the floor brace the correct way so that the warning label is facing towards the rear of the chair. If you have attached the floor brace so that the warning label is facing downwards diagonally, remove it, turn it around and flip it so it looks as it does in the User Guide. Tighten the floor brace on both sides.Item ready for collection (Please wait until you receive this SMS to come into store to collect your items) If you find that the leg space of the current, plastic Stokke® Tripp Trapp® Baby Set™ is too tight for your child, please make sure the Tripp Trapp® chair itself is adjusted correctly (with the seat plate installed according to the instructions in the Tripp Trapp® user guide) and the Baby Set™ fitted according to instructions in the Baby Set™ user guide.

On a general note, the new Stokke® Tripp Trapp® Baby Set™ has undergone rigorous testing and had been in use in the US, to high customer satisfaction, for several years before its introduction in Europe in 2011. Start to disassemble the chair – it is enough to loosen all the screws so that nothing is tightened and the seat and foot plate can both be easily adjusted within the grooves. All the parts can remain intact, as nothing needs to be removed. Once the screws have been tightened at the first sign of resistance, go from bottom to top again to fully tighten the screws – you may do this while standing on both legs of the chair to ensure the legs are still standing steady and do not twist to create a wobbling chair situation. Ensure that you do not overtighten any of the screws – especially the metal bars. The upper metal bar is designed to have a gap, as indicated within the User Guide. Overtightening any of the screws with too much force can damage the chair.
