About this deal

This review focuses on the 1000 watt Spider Farmer fixture, but everything written here goes for the SF 2000, SF 4000, and SF 7000 as well, apart from the individual specifications. Apart from that, both companies’ lights are very similar, which is why I give SF lights a slightly higher rating than the Mars TS and SP lights: a 4.8 out of 5. LOWER RUNNING COSTS AND HIGHER YIELDS: 2023 Newest Version SF 2000 LED grow light uses the latest high-yielding lamp bead – Samsung LM301B with 2.7 umol/J high energy efficiency, providing powerful light output and uniform canopy penetration for maximum plant yield. It consumes only 200W, 50% less power than HPS or other SMD LEDs or Blurple lights. Can be used with 2×4 grow tent and 4″ grow kits. On the plus side, the SF1000 is a very well-built grow light, with a premium driver. The diodes are also spaced in a unique pattern, with more LEDs near the edges, and fewer in the middle. This means a more even distribution of light. What’s more, the driver is dimmable, so you can dial down the power when you don’t need quite so much, as might be the case when seeding, cloning or vegging. This saves you money in electricity costs.

It’s stays warm not even close to hot even at 100% power. Good for my flowering plants in my colder climate. My 2X2 hasAt a height of 12″, the SF600 has very uniform light coverage across a 1’x3′ area, and decent coverage over the rated 2’x4′ area. In my opinion, a 12″ hanging height above two 10″x20″ seed trays would be the perfect use for this light. Spider Farmer SF600 hanging above pepper plants. SF600 Pros and Cons One of the top features of this SF LED light is its low power consumption. That’s all thanks to its LEDs and Aluminum as a heat sink. The light only consumes around 96 watts with a PPF efficacy rate of around 2.45 μmol/s/Watt. It also uses Samsung diodes, but does not have a dimmable driver. As a result, is not dimmable, but it also costs less than the regular one. At the heart of the Spider Farmer SF1000 is a 110w dimmable driver which power the array of 218 Samsung & Osram diodes with rigid reliability. The driver has recently been updated to a 2023 version to offer much improved electricity efficiency with a significantly longer life than other brands.

The newest models have dimmer knobs on the outside. That way, you can easily decrease the light intensity of your grow light.

There is also a new SF1000D. It is very similar to the regular 1000, but it has a different LED board that gives you a slightly more even light spread, with less intensity in the middle of the coverage area, and more around the outsides.
