About this deal

The NUX B-6 wireless system for saxophones has three dedicated modes. Each mode comes with an optimal EQ curve for the soprano saxophone, the alto saxophone and the tenor Saxophone. To switch among different modes, simply press the POWER/SCENE button on the transmitter. I wasn’t sure how well this product would sound. I had the opportunity to try it out this weekend at two different gigs. A clip-on wireless saxophone microphone attaches to your saxophone bell and generally has a flexible arm that positions the microphone over the bell, while absorbing vibrations from your keys.

The NUX B-6 wireless system allows the Saxophone players to move freely without worrying about stepping away too far from their microphone stand. With an operation range of 20 meters, the NUX B-6 wireless system for Saxophone can significantly improve your performance convenience. There is no compromises when it comes to audio quality. NUX B-6 delivers professional, high-resolution 24-bit/44.1kHz audio, and the frequency response range is 20Hz - 20kHz. As you spend more on your wireless saxophone microphone system, you will generally see improvements in two areas. Firstly, you get a better microphone, which means a wider dynamic mic range and a smoother rounder sound. The case should charge the system without having to press this button so I hope they fix that in a future version of this.If you’re a saxophonist looking for a wireless microphone system, the process of choosing can be overwhelming. These days there are a bunch of good and great wireless saxophone microphone systems on the market for sax players. Although they vary in quality and durability, all will make your live playing much more comfortable and give you that “sax god” feeling. In this article, we’ll provide an overview of the different types of wireless microphones available, and offer tips on how to choose the right system for your needs. We’ll also recommend some of our favourite systems for sax players. Each person will need to choose their own channel that doesn’t conflict with another performer. This way, you don’t have to worry about the vocalist coming through your sax wireless system or vice versa. Michael is no stranger to wireless mic setups, so I thought “who better to help me test these out?” Purchasing a wireless saxophone microphone that has poor battery life . The last thing you want is for your microphone to die in the middle of a performance, leaving you without amplification for your saxophone.

Personally, I was a bit disappointed with the sound of this mic compared to the others. I was hoping there would be more of an improvement over the first generation of this mic that I reviewed a few years ago. The Cloud Vocal setup does include a lot of features like onboard effects, and the ability to mix in other inputs, but the microphone itself is not meeting my expectations. Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.EQ is very personal. Everyone hears their own sound differently. It has a lot to do with the individual, their setup, how they play as well as the room you’re in and the PA system you’re playing through. After Michael recorded on each mic, we blindfolded him so he wouldn’t know which one we were listening to. AEA R84 Ribbon Mic Another consideration is the legislation on wireless radio frequencies. In each country, certain frequencies are designated for use by wireless radio systems. Professional wireless systems will give you the option to select different channels within these frequencies and this is important if you plan on playing at events where there are a number of other people using wireless systems. Selecting a microphone that has poor audio quality. This can greatly impact the overall sound of your saxophone playing and can diminish the quality of your performance. Test different wireless saxophone microphones to find one that provides clear and crisp sound reproduction.

This is a professional sound quality system and again very compact with the sender built into the microphone arm like the Samson design. The microphone on this system though is far superior giving a more dynamic mic, and clear, direct sound. Keep in mind that there is no effects, no reverb no EQ what you hear is the unmodified dry signal going through my Universal Audio Apollo Twin. I did have to adjust the gain here and there to get the levels to be similar though. Cloud Vocal Prime Whereas the Samson mic attaches to the sax bell with a spring clamp, the AMT Q7 has a very secure mounting system with a thumb screw. This makes a much more positive and strong connection which is welcome if you are an energetic performer! However, for the price, this is a good system that is great value for money. Also, the included charging case was smaller than I expected! You can easily store this in a suitcase or even your own saxophone case which is great for touring or travels, which is far more convenient and far less cumbersome than bringing stands, cables and wired mics in large cases. The fact that the receiver and transmitter charges in the case and all three is chargeable by USB-C cable is very convenient, considering many other electronics also use this same charging method (especially android phones, some ipad models!) The microphone is a custom-designed electret condenser capsule with special tuning and precision suspension to avoid keying noise and unwanted resonant frequencies. 3 voicing modes are available to deliver the best sound performance for Tenor, Alto, and Soprano instruments.
