About this deal

Every 6 months is the rule of thumb but many models tell you when the filter is starting to get full and needs to be swapped out. Our carpet and hard-floor test results with this head were a replica of those achieved with the same head on the CX1 Excellence model. Simply put: superb cleaning right up to the skirting edge, with only a few heavier grains of test powder showing on the carpet after a single pass. Pictures of that test can be found here. Hard to tell when dust container is full - the clear case fills with dust in the first seconds so you cant tell how full it is until its too late and you hear the motor struggling. Great longevity. What happened to the old simple light? This is the latest and greatest of pretty much any robot vacuum cleaner, brand new technology allows for a more thorough cleaning of your house. I can see the idea of a robot vacuum cleaner being a good one, but your money is better spent on a better quality vacuum cleaner in my opinion.

The CX1 Cat & Dog certainly lives up to its name and is a superb performer for pet-centric homes. Perhaps in an ideal world we’d have liked a second, smaller air-powered turbo brush tool for pet beds and the sofa – Miele’s own Turbo mini tool, for example – but that’s a minor omission against otherwise excellent cleaning results for homes with pets. hard floor head squeaks loudly with every stroke, while annoying and painful to hear, this is only an inconvenience The only place it doesn’t hold up is on furniture, it does an OK job and has a crevice tool to get into it but if you want to clean the furniture you’ll want the cat & dog powerline model. Miele do have factories in china but as of now, their vacuum cleaners are actually made at the Bielefeld factory in Germany. The Miele ovens are also made in Germany. Shark make upright vacuums mainly so again have better performance than most of the Miele’s but comparable with the Blizzard CX1.Plus if you like gadgetry you can open up the app on your phone and actually see a live stream of where it’s cleaning. Not particularly useful but goddamn is it cool.

Where it doesn’t match the CX1 is there’s no HEPA filter, so this isn’t a good choice for anyone with allergies. If you don’t suffer you likely won’t notice the difference but if you tend to sneeze from dust you’ll want to go with the CX1 above. The Silence AirClean filter acts as a silencer for your vacuum, muffling motor and suction noises as you clean. Hugely beneficial if one or more household members work from home or if you have pets/children sensitive to loud noises. So if you’re looking for a canister vacuum it’s Miele every time but if you want an upright then go with Shark.

Although we weren’t able to measure the noise level due to technical issues, it was noticeably quieter to our ear. Miele pegs the noise output at 78dB which is in line with typical vacuum cleaner noise levels, with anything above 80dB approaching the noise level of a food blender. The floor head is not motorized, so the only sound you’ll hear is from the motor. Finally, it’s got a dual air filter in it to make the air in your house feel fresher. Not a bag choice at all when it comes to a robot vacuum.

I really like the design of the Boost and that it’s light and manoeuvrable. In use, it has plenty of suction to get wooden floors and carpets clean. What I’m not a fan of is the clip that holds the three cleaning accessories as it’s situated right at the point where my hand grips the vacuum wand. Of course, you don’t have to attach the clip, but then you won’t have the attachments easily to hand. Miele Boost CX1: Also consider Miele mainly makes bagged vacuums which is always a pain because it means you have to buy bags when you empty it. Just like the C1X, there are a couple of different models of the C3, the cat and dog and the Total Suction Allergy.Emptying the enormous bin is as simple as holding it over you dustbin and releasing the large flap. The internal layout of the cyclone resists debris becoming caught up around the main circular filter gauze, so it empties cleanly all of the time. This means you’ll find that new Miele vacuums are more powerful in terms of suction than older models despite the lower power with the vortex suction system.
