About this deal

finely-detailed plastic figures (1 Female Elf, 1 Elven Archmage, 2 Elven Warriors, 2 Elven Archers, 3 Giant Wolves, 4 Ogre Warriors) Greetings, bravest of all Elves! The Queen of the Elven Kingdom anxiously awaits your return. Your homeland is in turmoil as the Queen's evil sister, Sinestra the Archmage, has joined forces with Zargon. Sinestra has kidnapped the Queen's daughter Millandriell and hidden her in a dark and mysterious mirror maze.

And last but not least, you also receive a sheet of new cardboard tokens to add to your collection. It features duplicates of tokens you might already have, as well as a few new ones that feature in the expansion quests. These include the inner sanctum and sanctum wall which you can read more about in the quest book. Down To Business Includes Quest Book featuring 10 quests, 33 finely detailed miniatures, 2 mirror stands, 35 game cards, cardboard tile sheet, and game guide. INCLUDES 10 THRILLING QUESTS: The Mage of the Mirror expansion features 10 quests, as well as full-color tiles and 35 game cards, set in an elven world of monsters, traps, and mind-altering spells We can also see re-sculpts of the furniture. There appears to be a re-sculpt of almost every piece from the Game System, there are only a couple that are missing. There are also a few new plastic doors. The mirrors appear to still be made out of cardboard. A Clue for the Future Fearless Elf, you have been chosen to rescue the fair Princess. To determine your worthiness, you alone must complete three dangerous Quests. If you survive, you and your fellow Heroes will then venture into the forbidden Realm of Reflection - where all is not as it seems. There you must destroy Sinestra and rescue the Princess from the dark forces of Chaos! The quest book is quite a weighty document and has a lot of information to dig through before you get to the quest section. There’s new mechanics, door types, enemies, tokens and icons to get your head around before you can start. That being said, they work in a similar way to the mechanics that already exist in the game, so it’s only a matter of building new steps on top of them. There are 10 quests in total which include 3 solo quests and 7 group quests, so thankfully the solo content doesn’t dominate too much of the expansion. In addition, each quest provides a manageable challenge for 1 or 4 adventurers and offers lots of opportunities for exploration and discovery. ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION OF MINIATURES: This tabletop board game expansion comes with 33 detailed unpainted miniatures: elven-themed furniture, Elf hero, Evil Archmage, Ogres, Giant Wolves, and more

I wholeheartedly recommend playing through this with a smaller group, and it was thoroughly enjoyable to playthrough with 1 player as the DM and another as the hero. Although it did make certain quests a whole lot harder. THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES: Rescue the Princess—and Realm—from evil! The cards and Quest Book in this fantasy-filled Heroquest expansion feature artwork that immerses you in the perilous adventure! Add To Your Collection Of Miniatures: This tabletop board game expansion comes with 33 detailed unpainted miniatures: elven-themed furniture, Elf hero, Evil Archmage, Ogres, Giant Wolves, and more

Leaflet

The Mage of the Mirror will include a Quest Book featuring 10 quests, 33 finely detailed miniatures, and 35 game cards that will expand the game for both Zargon and the heroes. This expansion is expected to release in the Spring of 2023 and requires the HeroQuest Game System to play (sold separately). So that concludes my review of this exciting new Heroquest expansion. It really seems that the game system gets better with each and every expansion that Hasbro creates and releases. Every new mechanic add loads of exciting new ways to play and challenges to face up against. The standing mirrors introduce an interesting new mechanic that adds exploration and mystery to certain levels. A cardboard mirror cutout can be slotted into the stands provided and included in the levels that require them. Should a player discover and use one, they may discover great treasures and secret rooms on the other side.
