About this deal

On the copy I’ve gotten the indices use a different font. It’s more angular, it’s still different from Leica, but I think it’s a significant improvement.

Thanks for your kind words about my professional work. I do remote shoots occasionally now though. Have I told you about these before? I meet up with a model online from around the world, and thanks to modern technology, I can control her camera through my computer with the camera app or Capture One. We use something like Zoom to chat. Some of these models use professional setups (pro cameras, lighting, studio booking, etc.), so the results are just as good as you would get from in-person shooting. It’s been a great experience. The process is slower but the results can be excellent. Plus, it’s a great way to network, and shoot in various locations around the world. First impressions were awesome. The TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 did just good. Rangefinder calibration seems great and the pictures all came out sharp, detailed and full of that 3D pop you carve for while using such a bright lens. I haven’t been annoyed by any flaring or any flaw that would make my pictures bad, except my own skills obviously, ha.

The lens features a rangefinder coupling which can be adjusted yourself using a small (supplied) screwdriver. Being an owner of an M-mount camera now I cannot stretch enough what a wonderful design decision this is: the lens can easily be adjusted to be perfectly calibrated to your rangefinder camera and give best possible results without sending it in. I wish every M-mount lens would offer this. This new 50mm f/1.2 lens from TTartisan is the latest in a huge pool of manual focus fast fifty lenses from various manufacturers for mirrorless systems. It has a couple of key points that really makes it stand out from the competition. This is another photo I took with f0.95 and 160 ISO. 7artisans Photoelectric 50mm f0.95 Lens Bokeh:

On the nature of ultra-fast lenses, some will argue that there is little point to investing in one if you’re not going to shoot it full throttle all day and live your best max. ap. life. Bro, the TTA all but eliminates this consideration; you can have an extra stop or two and only use it when your art demands it.Leica knows this, so this is what the M10 manual says about accuracy with fast lenses. Gold bayonet and rangefinder coupling It is recommended to have a look at this article first to get an idea how this brightness graph works. Wide open there is noticeable coma visible. Stopping down to f/2.8 improves the performance significantly, but as we have seen in the sharpness section the corners never look great. You are from Canada, it’s nearly the same than USA, Europe, UK, Australia, NZ, what did happen ? Many factory closed and workers lost their jobs (Leica is luxury good company, so … ), … but this country breaks the prices, … and when they are anot happy for example of one country like Australia for example who was only asking for an inquiry abour Covid19, now we know that the money you give, we give all, from all over the world to the WHO has been used you for a joke report to help them to make their own national propaganda “virus is not from here, maybe frozen beef from Au …”, Islands build more and more, … conflicts with neighbors, …

Talking about 9cm of DOF wide open, notice how it’s not that easy to nail it on the chart. 9cm is also theoretical: portraits are a lot more sensitive than that and getting the eyes in sharp focus requires perfect calibration even at this distance. When stopping the lens down you can still catch all kinds of ghosts and also some rainbow artifacts with the sun close to the corner of the frame: Sony A7rII | TTArtisan 50mm 0.95 | f/8.0 Having a digital Leica M the calibration should have been a doddle, and this is where reality and expectation diverged. Quite considerably. Center and corners look very similar to what we have seen on the E-mount camera, the midframe looks about 2 stops better though (meaning f/2.0 on M10 looks comparable to f/4.0 on Sony A7rII). Lately there have been two rising stars on the Chinese lens manufacturing scene. One is 7artisans and the other is TTartisan. While their name is VERY similar, they”re NOT the same company as far as I’ve been told. They both get their optics done by DJ OPTICAL, but they each do their own lens designs. The TTartisan 50mm f/1.2 is an instant recommendation for anyone who likes to use the 50mm focal length on an APSC camera.
