The title peeked my curiosity and although I was a little hesitant not knowing anything about writer Catharina Maura and her books, it was narrator extraordinaire Sebastian York that really drew me all the way in, this read had so much potential. i liked the characters at first, the conflicts, the idea of the plot. but by the time i reached the 60% mark, i was skimming lines: the repetitiveness was killing me. because instead of building a strong relationship between the protagonists, the author chose to make their love story frustratingly shallow. See that distraught looking woman who is having an unusually hard time ringing the doorbell? That's me, Vivanna Grace Hudson. A twenty-four-year old with shoulder length copper hair, an unhealthy obsession with marzipan fruits and also, has the self-confidence of a table lamp.It's nice to see you too, Hannah." I am pretty sure this is one of the factors that influenced why I loved this so much as I could physically feel the tension and emotional baggage these characters have and seeing how they dealt with their soap opera ridiculous life was predictable but entertaining.
