About this deal

The story eventually leads to a rollercoaster of action, fear, and danger, with a resolution that excites readers for the next book. While the book can be read as a standalone novel, there are hints of future plot developments that will continue into the next one. 8. Kiss of Death Magnus is the master draug that has been hunting the vampires forever. In Last Breath, he kills Claire and catches most of the vampires, like Michael, Oliver, and Amelie's blood sister Naomi (who at the end, gets freed). He also bites Amelie, causing more chaos.

The book has a slightly juvenile tone, which is ironic since the main character--a brainiac who is sixteen years old and in college--spends much of the book insisting that she's not a little kid. I feel like a lot of the events weren't really thought out and were there to move the story along without really considering the repercussions. It's kind of like how, in Harry Potter, Harry always managed to get away scot-free--and sometimes even with a congratulatory pat on the head--in spite of all the times he ignored rules or authority to save the world/his friends/stuff. Except that this book doesn't even go that far. Eventually, I kind of just gave up all hope for at least some bit of realism. Kim. I don't like Kim. Kim can go jump off a bridge, or better yet, feed her to Myrnin. Gah! She threatened the dynamic of the Glass House and I was not liking that at all. Also wasn't feeling Ada's attitude problem.Life starts to get real complicated being in Morganville and the people in the town are on the creapy side. Our protag. Claire, is a smart and determined little thing and she finds that life is nothing what it seems. She is faced with the ugly truth about life in Morganville and with the help of her new roommates they battle together to stay alive. I don't want to give too much away but like always, Caine is in it to impress. She takes her characters from their comfy homes into the outskirts of Texas where danger both human and vamp is waiting for them.

Something drastic has happened in Morganville while Claire and her friends were away. The town looks cleaner and happier than they’ve ever seen it before, but when their incoming group is arrested and separated—vampires from humans—they realize that the changes definitely aren’t for the better. Seems like vamps want to break free from Morganville but danger comes in a form that is almost least expected, in a human. When Eve's good friend Kim begins a film project to document the lives of the Morganville vamps. With her sudden disappearance truths begin to come out.For Claire Danvers, high school was hell, but college may be murder. It was bad enough that she got on the wrong side of Monica, the meanest of the school's mean girls, but now she has got three new roommates, who all have secrets of their own. And the biggest secret of all is not really a secret, except from Claire: Morganville is run by vampires, and they are hungry for fresh blood.

For me to love books that are....well....paranormal, the author better be hella creative. In this case?? She was. And I even thought it was a BIT more addictive than my other vamp series I'm reading...but only by a hair! To me, that's amazing. I LOVE Evernight-I love the atmosphere, the boy, the main girl (most of the time), but sometimes it's a bit lighter and not as intense in the writing area. I love that, but starting this series certainly made my heart pound in ways that are completely out of this world. But of course, no one does anything like that, giving Claire the motivation to move out of the dorm, and into her new home with her new roommates.Without Bishop ruling over the town of Morganville, life has changed - dramatically. The resident vampires have made major concessions to the human population. With their newfound freedoms, Claire Danvers and her friends are almost starting to feel comfortable again, but when a filmmaker goes missing after starting work on a short documentary about vampires, Clair and her friends are feeling anything but safe. The readers question the future of Claire and Shane’s relationship, as well as the stability of Eve and Michael’s. Claire’s progress with her parents and her turning into a vampire slayer are mentioned as positive points. Finally, the reviewer notes Shane’s character growth and newfound ability to restrain himself in dangerous situations. 9. Ghost Town

Now a fraternity is tossing its yearly Dead Girls’ Dance and the surprise here is Claire and her similarly outcast closest friend named Eve, happen to be invited. Once they discover why, all nightmare will probably bust unfastened. Since this time both living and the dead are arriving out and everyone’s starving for blood.I ended up liking this a lot more than I thought I would. It's a fun read that I would recommend to the younger spectrum of teens. I had issues with a few of the concepts/plot points. One of which being that if Claire was such a genius, why wasn't she smarter with her actions? I feel like there was something missing there... She gets badly beaten by a group of mean girls at campus who threaten to kill her. However, that doesn’t mean that she’ll call her parents and request a school change, because a quitter she is not (huh?) Vampires are real, and a lot of them live in Morganville, Texas. Claire Danvers is a sixteen year old college freshmen, and after getting tired of being bullied all the time, she seeks out a place to live off campus, stumbling across the Glass house. In this book, history unravels itself in front Claire and her new roommates, Michael Glass, Eve Rosser, and Shane Collins. This first book of the Morganville Vampires series is definitely an eye catcher and will have you begging more. No sabía si reír o llorar, así que tomé la tercera opción y entre a Goodreads a buscar consuelo en las reseñas de los siguientes libros sólo para enterarme que es una serie de ¡15 libros!
