Whenever me or my family crave something sweet after dinner and I don’t want to turn on the oven or bake something, we make a protein powder mug cake. Table of Contents Granulated erythritol- granular swerve, granular monk fruit sweetener, or any other erythritol-based sweetener works best. Use the right protein powder. Not all protein powders are equal. Casein, brown rice, and pea protein powders are far superior to whey protein powder or whey protein blends. Whey based powders tend to dry out baked goods. To make the batter, add the almond flour, chocolate protein powder, granulated erythritol (or coconut sugar), eggs, and vanilla to the melted chocolate mixture and stir until smooth.
