The DI turns his attention to Finlay Caulfield regarding the photos of Anna on his camera, and while it becomes clear he was obsessed with her, it may not be enough to charge the stalker with her murder. There are still so many unanswered questions – until Sandy spots something on the CCTV footage that takes the investigation in a new direction. Her relationship with the archipelago began in 1975, when she took a job as assistant cook at the Fair Isle bird observatory. How to read the Shetland Series in Order?

Paul Logue is the lead writer of the new series of Shetland, alongside Denise Paul and Vivienne Harvey. The series is produced by Louise V Say and directed by Andy Newbery and Giulia Gandini. Executive Producers are Gaynor Holmes for the BBC, Kate Bartlett and Denise Paul for Silverprint Pictures. Summer is marked by nearly 19 hours of sun at mid-June with cold nights and fog. Fall rounds out the year and with few trees falling leaves are not a factor. What is apparent is the degree to which the author has become involved in the life of the isles. In regards to the characters, Jimmy Perez develops because there are tragedies in his life. His former wife says that he's 'emotionally incontinent'. Perhaps he gives too much sympathy and compassion to his colleagues, to the victims and even to the offenders. He doesn't have much kindness left for the people close to him. By the end of the series I hope his priorities have slightly changed. Jimmy is at a loss surrounded by strangers in a strange land which forces him out of his depth. When another death occurs however, Jimmy knows that amidst the claustrophobic mists lie secrets he must uncover to stop the killer from striking again. Will he succeed or will the killer aided by the secretive lands strike again? When a young man disappears on a ferry crossing and a small boy ends up in intensive care after overdosing on Ecstasy, Pérez and the team become convinced the two events are connected.
