Although Namaikizakari started off that way, the author didn’t consume so many chapters just for Machida to realize her feelings for Naruse. I didn’t reach that point where I get frustrated with the main lead, which usually happens

First of all, Yuki, (the female protagonist) doesn’t take any of Naruse’s (the male protagonist) feelings in consideration. I personally view this to be a little bit focused on the romance more than the basketball aspect but they are similarly cliche in the romance plot and basketball rivalry part. But Namaikizakari is a sports manga, that`s for sure. This is probably one of the biggest elements that many other shoujo-sports manga fail at capturing. But as I read Namaikizakari, I knew that this was one that would not fail at capturing those moments. It showed me what it means to lose, but not to give up as well, which to me, is the true meaning of a sports manga. for enjoyment, well i dont need to say anything other than the fact that i didn't sleep for a day even though i have class (i didnt sleep literally for 30 hours just to read this).
