The mechanism for changing the bands on the 3000 model is even easier than what was on the 2000 model yet sourcing the pieces to complete a band is a giant pain in the ass. It should not be this difficult to get a replacement part, especially when Casio is advertising swapping the bands as a highlighted feature of this watch.
