About this deal

Plunder introduced Loot and Traits. Loots are valuable Treasures that can only be gained via the effects of certain Action and Treasure cards; Traits are landscapes that modify all the cards in a particular pile, for instance by making them cheaper. It also includes more Treasures, Durations, and Events. [27] Alchemy was the first set to introduce a new base card: Potion, a Treasure card which is needed to buy most of the expansion's kingdom cards. [16] We have played Dominion for a long time now, and we love how every expansion adds to the base game, building over what the previous ones have achieved. And cards that gave you +1 Buy when bought, I made a couple and then it seemed like, that was plenty. Prosperity includes nine Treasure cards with rules on them. They are in the Supply if selected as one of the 10 Kingdom cards for the game; they are not part of the Basic Supply. They are just like normal Treasures, but have special abilities. They are played during the Buy phase like normal Treasures and are affected by cards that refer to Treasures.

Tournament is a card that gives you one way of obtaining a Prize. Once a turn that you play a Tournament, you can reveal a province from your hand. If you do, you can discard a Province for one of the coveted prizes. Cornucopia & Dominion Presets When gain, reveal top 3, play the Actions/Treasures, discard the rest. Super Gamble, was super nuts. Then there was a one-card Gamble. Fear the night! Vampires and werewolves are coming to your Dominion. In fact, they’re already here, and it’s still a better love story than Twilight. Overall Feel Ah, money. There’s nothing like the sound of coins clinking in your hands. You vastly prefer it to the sound of coins clinking in someone else’s hands, or the sound of coins just sitting there in a pile that no one can quite reach without getting up. Getting up, that’s all behind you now. Life has been good to you. Just ten years ago, you were tilling your own fields in a simple straw hat. Today, your kingdom stretches from sea to sea, and your straw hat is the largest the world has ever known. You also have the world’s smallest dog, and a life-size statue of yourself made out of baklava. Sure, money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy envy, anger, and also this kind of blank feeling. You still have problems – troublesome neighbors that must be conquered. But this time, you’ll conquer them in style.Plunder has Traits, which are a new kind of landscape card that affects a single Action or Treasure pile. The pandemic got me working on Allies, Allies got me working on second editions, and the second editions got me working on Plunder. Making more Seaside and Prosperity stuff was fun, and I had mechanics lying around that went with that. I could seriously make some treasure-durations. I could try out "rewards," which had been sitting around for a long time (looked at briefly for Empires). I had an idea for duration cards left over from Seaside 2E; I'd saved it because clearly it was good for a bunch of cards. And I had a landscape type left over from Allies. Dominion Renaissance introduces Projects, which can completely change Dominion strategically. For example, if you pay 8 to activate the Citadel project, the first action card you play in a turn is automatically replayed. This dramatically increases the power of some action cards and may lead you to play a completely different strategy than you would otherwise. The projects also combine well with the other expansions and therefore we think that projects add a lot of replay value to Dominion. Chemistry Lesson:Alchemist, Golem, Philosopher’s Stone, University, Bureaucrat, Market, Moat, Remodel, Vassal, Witch Final Thoughts on Alchemy

Various versions of, the player to your left gains an Estate and you get +3 . I couldn't give everyone an Estate and didn't want anything political. At the start of a game with a Trait, choose a random Action or Treasure Kingdom card pile to put the Trait on; then during that game, cards from that pile are affected as indicated on the Trait. A cantrip super- Remodel (up to + ) that had you take equal to the amount you Remodel 'd up. and Remodel s are a poor combination, but I tried it multiple Nocturne adds some very thematic elements that are perfect for a spooky night. If it’s Halloweenor if anyone in your game group has a Nightmare Before Christmas tattoo you’ll feel right at home. Major Rule Changes Dominion Intrigue feels very much like the core game of Dominion with thematic leanings towards royal court plots and conspiracies, and there’s a reason for that. Dominion Intrigue isn’t really an expansion in the traditional sense. It’s a standalone game in that it comes with all of the base cards, but it feels like an expansion. (Note: The Second Edition of the game is an expansion.) Major Rule ChangesAdventures is one of my favorite expansions. The upgradeable cards are extremely useful and are incredibly fun to play. I have a tendency to just work on upgrading cards and ignore a strategy because I think they’re so cool. The coin system that several expansions have used has been expanded upon and streamlined. Renaissance now comes with another player board with 2 sections; coffers and villagers. Coffers One evening on a vacation, I paced around, the only one awake, thinking about what the future could possibly hold for Dominion. Was there anything great left to do? I jotted down some notes, then typed it all up when I got home. Big Actions:City, Expand, Grand Market, King’s Court, Loan, Mint, Quarry, Rabble, Talisman, Vault Final Thoughts on Prosperity At the start of your next turn, may play an Action, then draw to 6. I think LastFootnote suggested this.
