About this deal

My preference is to use Ghostkeels or Aun’va on midfield objectives to force enemy damage dealers to get within 12″ to kill them. If they don’t then I either get primary or they contest the objective with higher amounts of OC which I then kill and reduce the amounts of units they will have late game. Or they send enough damage to kill your lone operative on the objective and you then kill part of their damage dealing core while still having your key units alive (usually a 6x Crisis Battlesuit unit does the killing so it can strike and fade to safety and not risk you losing any units). The Imperium favours tried and tested technology – and while Redemptors can choose between the (admittedly exc

Being allowed to use a battlesuit, particularly the massive XV8 Crisis Battlesuits, is considered a high honour among the T'au Fire Caste, and is only granted to T'au Fire Warriors who have earned the rank and privilege required to be granted this responsibility. Such a privilege can only be attained after several Terran years of progressing through the ranks of the Fire Caste as a Fire Warrior. Command and Control Node - A Command and Control Node is a sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted communications system used by a T'au Commander to communicate more effectively with other Fire Caste warriors around him, and better direct battlefield operations by linking all T'au targeting computers nearby together. Though the sheer amount of information received can seem overwhelming, a T'au Commander who masters the flood of data can better orchestrate the firepower of his forces.XV8 Crisis Battlesuit - The XV8 Crisis Battlesuit is the mainstay T'au Battlesuit utilised by the warriors of the Fire Caste, mounting fearsome ranged weaponry and a complement of technologically advanced support systems, all on a comparatively small and agile frame. XV8 Crisis Battlesuits are versatile and formidable weapons that the enemies of the T'au Empire have learned to respect. There are several variants of the XV8 Crisis Battlesuit, including: The XV8 Bodyguard Team consists of more experienced warriors known as Saz'nami, or literally Close Protection Officers. Only Fire Warriors with impeccable records are chosen for this rare duty. It is their duty to protect Tau Commanders at all costs and even take incoming shots for their leader. Tau lore is rife of the heroic performances of XV8 bodyguards, and it is considered a disgrace for a Close Protection Officer to survive while his Commander is slain. Any who have suffered such an indignity often spend the rest of their remaining life in atonement. XV8 Bodyguard teams draw upon the latest Battlesuit wargear, and prototype weapons are treated as standard issue. [6b] Sept Armament Variations

This reduction in points, then, is good to see. I think that we’re going to see more Broadsides hit the tabletop before the codex arrives, especially given that the change to the Mont’ka rule — putting aside rules discussions — grants the unit even more flexibility than previously. It goes without saying that Shield Drones are one of the most powerful assets in the T’au arsenal. Indeed, the entire 8th edition T’au meta was built around this humble little Drone and the defensive capabilities that it offered to the faction. Initially deployed during the fighting on Taros during the Taros Campaign, it was soon found that the XV89's bulky armour plating limited its manoeuvrability, leaving those shas'vre assigned to it unable to fulfil the traditional role of XV8 Crisis Teams. A T'au Battlesuit is an advanced, powered, combat exoskeleton that forms an integral part of the T'au Fire Caste's military forces. T'au Battlesuits incorporate many different types of T'au weapons systems and armour and are the foremost sign of reputation and honour amongst the warriors of the Fire Caste -- they are the apex of the T'au Empire's military technology. Commander Farsight can also lead a Crisis unit with Cyclic that uses Steathsuits Homing Beacon and Rapid Ingress to arrive in a spot where they can move 10″ on your turn and end that move within 9″ of the enemy unit you want to kill to access the +1 to wound ability.

Fire Warrior ( Fire Warrior Strike Team • Fire Warrior Breacher Team) • Pathfinder • Drone Squadron Warhammer Community, however, is here to help, and we’ve come up with a list of reasons that T’au battlesuits are demonstrably better than Dreadnoughts.* Battlesuits Have a Plethora of Weapon Choices

Only the greatest commanders and warriors are assigned experimental weaponry or even entirely unique battlesuits. Such prototypes have turned the tide of many battles where the T'au Empire might have suffered grievous defeats without their pilots' intervention. In the hands of their esteemed wielders, their equipment can become the stuff of legends within the T'au Empire, for the tools and weapons heroes use to accomplish their greatest deeds are tied to their stores. XVx4 – Designates a battlesuit of any mass class approved for the command and control role, or is in the final stages of field-testing. It is of note that some battlesuits may have a secondary operational role, and so a rare third numeral may be included in its designation. Please note that the recently introduced XV104 Riptide, XV107 R'varna, and XV109 Y'vahra Battlesuits are uniquely named, for their three numbers are meant to be read as 10-4, 10-7, and 10-9 respectively; with 10 being the mass class and 4, 7, and 9 being the designator of their tactical role.White Dwarf 263 (US), "Crisis!
