About this deal

After harvest, you will know which plants had the best yields, growth, etc. Keep the clones you took from these best plant(s). These clones will become your “mother” plants which you can take further clones from whenever you need new babies. By drying them flat, they will retain the ideal shape. Or, you could allow a wrapped bundle to cure and use it to roll your buds blunt-style. Make Some Cannabis Milk

When growing from seeds, some growers opt to take clones from all their plants while they veg. Then, once these first plants are harvested and dried, they only keep the healthiest clones from the one plant they liked the most. If you’re not a fan of rubbing alcohol for whatever reason, there are other ways to clean your trimming scissors. White vinegar is another option you can use that involves the same process.

Benefits of cloning marijuana

Some clones take longer to root. I’ve had a clone that didn’t really do anything for almost a month (it didn’t wilt or grow) and I was just about to throw it away before it suddenly exploded with new growth and became a healthy adult plant. However, it’s usually a lot easier to take many extra marijuana clones and throw away any that are taking longer than the others to make roots. Autoflowers can’t be re-vegged, which means monster cropping is a no-go. On that note, taking monster crop clones from small or slow photoperiod strains isn’t the best idea either. Glass jars are the typical go-to, with most growers keeping buds in the same jars they used for curing. The only watch-out is sunlight exposure, so keep your container in a cool, dark, and dry location to maintain bud integrity.

Finally, if you still find that too many of your clones turn yellow, you may want to switch to another cloning method and see if your results change. Some growers find they’re more successful cloning with one method than another. Cannabis clones are cuttings from a marijuana plant – these cuttings make roots of their own and grow into an identical plant as the “mother!” For many cannabis growers, taking cuttings and cloning can be a great way of propagating a cannabis strain or a particularly nice cannabis plant without ever having to ever worry about male plants or making or buying seeds. Each clone is free!Ok, so you want to take clones during the vegetative stage if possible, yet how do you choose the best mother plants that will give you the most potent buds and greatest yields? You don’t know how the plant is going to turn out yet since she’s still in the vegetative stage. Once your clone has been planted and trimmed, it’s time to move it into a dome. This will allow you to keep humidity levels high (clones need high humidity as they absorb water via their leaves as they develop their roots). Once you’ve situated them in a dome, keep your clones on an 18/6 light cycle (18 hours on, 6 hours off) under a low-power fluorescent or metal halide lamp. Well, guess what, you can now make your own out of the leaves you’ve cut off. And you don’t even need that much! Around 30 grams of trim can get the job done. Create Some Infused Cooking Oil Here’s that plant 3 days later after being put on a 24/0 schedule, you can see the buds are dying but the plant has created several new leaves, some of which are smooth edged like a typical re-veg.

Curing comes after drying, and takes the manipulation of bud moisture one step further. Curing is about striking a delicate balance between completely drying buds out and retaining just enough moisture that they don't start to crumble and degrade.

All Reviews

This is quite an interesting topic of discussion. Especially on growing forums, you’ll read stories of people claiming they got high just from handling weed. Cleanliness is the key to taking and growing healthy clones. Hence, make sure to wash your hands and use gloves before handling your plants, and sterilise your razor, scalpel, or scissors as well as your work area with high-proof alcohol. If you were able to stash away a good amount of trim, you can create your own cannabis extracts. Butane hash oil (BHO) is a popular choice, with the aid of a solvent extraction tube. Next, place buds (loosely) inside your chosen container. Although wide-mouth mason jars are ideal, any airtight container is suitable. Fill the jars until there's a small gap at the top, and make sure you aren't crushing or compacting buds unnecessarily. This article was co-authored by Jamie Corroon, ND, MPH. it can take a few weeks for a flowering plant to fully re-veg and start growing vigorously, and sometimes re-veggKeep the leaves of each new clone gently moist – clones love misty conditions (especially the first week after taking a cutting) The only difference with this method is the time at which you trim your sugar leaves. But overall, the process is the same. Clones thrive at temperatures between 23–25°C (74–78°F) and a relative humidity between 75–85%, regardless of the medium you’re cloning them in. There are a number of ways you can keep things warm and humid to help your clones develop healthy roots as fast as possible: Yes, you read that right. Your cannabis trimmings can be used to make your very own herb-infused milk. With monster cropping, you don’t need to keep a mother plant around for continuous harvests. You are taking clones from flowering plants. You can simply start flowering your entire crop as usual, taking the next generation of clones from these. With no need for a dedicated “mother room”, you can make better use of your growing space, lights, and air.
