And despite the weather - which was ironically a bit cold for summer - I have an abundance of chilies. I've only been able to use so much in our everyday cooking. Preserving chilies is easy. Making this Chinese Salt & Pepper seasoning is super easy. It tastes out of this world, uses simple ingredients, can be used to jazz up so many dishes and you want to know the best thing about making your own spice blend……. NO MSG!!! Other suggestions are red peppers, thinly sliced carrot, or courgette.
