In the planned Transformers Chess Set by Eaglemoss, a relatively large and very well detailed statue of Blitzwing was slated to be one of the Rook pieces on the Decepticon side. A Cybertronian battle scene from TV Magazine (reprinted in Transformers Generations) appears to depict (one of?) Blitzwing's original alt mode(s) as a double-barreled tank—a good decade and a half before he received a Cybertronian makeover in The War Within. That could be another reason why I'm flagging on the current transformers series. Funnily enough I enjoyed the BotsBots on Netflix enough I may hunt some of those down again. However, not all pairings were ideal. You'll see those hands and gauntlets in the design sheet, those had to go with a release. And the design team chose to pair that one with Blitzwing. They did find ways to integrate it into the tank mode for extra fire power. So that's the explanation, it was a mandate and they tried their best to integrate the weapons and design them in a way that worked best for particular characters. And Blitzwing got the gauntlets. Also, one would assume a large accessory like that also helped further give an idea of value for a leader class toy that is the size of a traditional voyager class toy, even though Hasbro did confirm that the classes are no longer about size. The official in-house title of the toyline is " Transformers Generations: Legacy", which is often used in online product descriptions given to retailers. The name used for the line's logo, however; is just " Transformers: Legacy". Blitzwing's Tech Spec bio has a probable typographical error on it which gives him the function of "Ground and Air Commander" at a rank of six. The actual function, which appears in other merchandise (such as the Action Cards) is "Ground and Air Commando". What boggles my mind is... somehow it's even boxier than the TR one, which... actually handled it pretty well imo...Energon consumption time!!!
