About this deal

I Am Not But I Know I Am: Welcome to the Story of God. Sisters, OR: Multnomah. ISBN 9781590522752. OCLC 57531626. This book is perfect for all those little minds full of curious thoughts about STEM-themed topics. What I love most about this book is how it's bursting with scientific findings, photography and original illustrations about all sorts of topics related to science. This is only a portion of my review. I will be adding (or have added) many links to my review of Indescribable on my blog for supplemental study. You can find them here.

If you are interested in astronomy or you’re just looking to have your view of God expanded, this is the book for you. I honestly don’t know how someone could read this book and not end up in utter awe of God. The use of photo’s, numbers, quotes from astronomers, and scripture is outstanding. This is a very well balanced approach to examining God through His creation. Louie Giglio Books and Ministry". Christ Notes. 2007. Archived from the original on 23 February 2008. But it is not only a book that can be used in a family setting. Kids themselves will wonder at the awesome God that created our world as they read through these 100 devotions on their own. An opportunity to establish a habit of daily time with God. As mentioned above, the science topics range from space to earth, to animals to us, and it is all tied in with God and Scripture. My two daughters (both older than the targeted ages) are as in love with this as I am. And if you tied it in with the internet, looking up references, google images, and Wikipedia you can use this devotional as a faith-filled curriculum for science. As a reviewer for FrontGate Media, I received a review copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. My thanks to FrontGate Media, the author, and publisher. One of the things I love about this book is the way that Giglio points out the awesome creativity and attention to detail in our Creator - and the devotions are written in such a way that you'll be admiring these as you go throughout your day. After reading the science facts, you'll find yourself appreciating Creation all the more. I have found Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God & Science to be a jumping off point for some intimate conversations about God and a whole lot of trips to the Internet to google about the scientific facts involved. I recommend that you get a copy to enjoy with your kids. You definitely don't need to be a homeschool family to learn and have fun with this devotional.

[2] Later he went to Grace Theological Seminary to pursue a Doctor of Ministry degree. [3] Ministry [ edit ] INDESCRIBABLE: 100 DEVOTIONS ABOUT GOD & SCIENCE is seriously the coolest devotional I've seen yet for kids. I am a parent and I love it. Finally, the connection between the science lessons and the religious message on some of the stories seemed like the author was stretching quite a lot. Like #3, he quotes a Bible verse about Leviathan, says it sounds like a dragon. Dragons are really strong and so is God’s armor. Or #36 which details how your eyes are created in the womb and then how God gave you eyes to see His world and read the Bible. What a grand opportunity to lead your child to discover the indescribable wonders of the universe made by our wonderful Creator. And this new devotional book for kids will enable families together to embark on this wonderful journey of discovery.I highly recommend this little book and know it will be a treasured addition to a child's or family's library. a b Givens, Joshua. (August 13, 2008) Associated Content. Louie Giglio - A Brief Biography on the Renowned Christian Author and Speaker. My boys and I loved the 1st one of these, and they liked this one ok (one son more than the other), but this one kinda grated on me. It seemed far more preachy than the first. “Well it is a devotional” I hear you saying. True, but let me explain. The first one seemed to have neat little science lessons and tied them together with a simple little message about the glory of God. No doctrine, no questionable or controversial topics. This one had a few lessons that seemed a bit more personal, less universal. The 3rd lesson requires a literal reading of the Bible. There was #74 in particular about Satan hunting you (“That’s because a predator is hunting you, and his name is Satan.”) that I just don’t believe in and changed when reading. There were also several about proselytizing which I don’t agree with.
