Just like the final round of Richard Osman’s House of Games, the goal is to find the correct answer to two clues and smash them together with the link. Because you have to find two answers, the questions are fairly easy. Distinctly Average ( first played on Episode 1): The pairs are given questions which they must write answers to on their tablet computers, and the average of their answers is taken as their answer, and the closest pair to the correct answer win themselves a point. Holden Caulfield, an icon for teenage angst and rebellion, is a fictional character in which American literary classic? We’ll also provide the artist, so you can do half a point for each, or give a bonus point for the artist in each question. The Rich List ( first played on Episode 4): The players have to write down an answer that is correct based on a statement given by the computer (there are multiple correct answers to each question). The players only get points for a correct answer that is unique, but as an added twist, Osman will also write down an answer to make it even harder. Final round

There will be an explanation after every answer at the end of the quiz and there is even an example to help you out at the beginning! Dim Sums ( first played on Episode 4): The pairs are given a sum, and they need to find 2 numbers that could be used to make the answer (e.g. the sum could be? x? = 18.) The pairs are then given 4 options that they could use, but they have to work out what the numeric values of those options are as well. A correct sum earns the players a point. Random games Which band sang the songs Under the Boardwalk, Saturday Night at the Movies, and Save the Last Dance For Me? Find the answers to these highbrow and lowbrow questions, pair the same answers and reveal the odd one out. Cine-Nyms ( first played on Episode 7): The players are shown a quote from a film, but its words have been replaced with synonyms of the actual words used. They need to work out the film for a point. Pairs gamesThe Carlton dance’ that debuted in this show recently ended in a legal battle with Fortnite (which was later withdrawn) after they included it in their game. e.g. Which country invaded the Falklands in 1982 and who had a hit with ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’? This country singer and actor who sang, ‘Live Like You Were Dying’ is married to Faith Hill and loves sushi. Sylvia Plath killed herself in London, the Beatles released their first album, ‘Please Please Me’ and John F. Kennedy gave his ‘Ich bin ein Berliner’ speech in West Berlin.

These are generic history questions, which should hopefully get your players scratching their heads and trying to remember their school days. What’s in a Name 9 Questions (I have used Richard Osman but you can adapt to include friends and family names) Rhyme Time ( first played on Episode 1): The celebrities are shown 2 statements which rhyme. They buzz in with the correct answers. On some questions, one of the statements are replaced with either a picture or a song (in which the singer is the rhyming answer they require.) This Round Is in Code ( first played on Episode 3): The players are given a category, and answers are shown in alpha-numeric code (i.e. A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.). The players have to unscramble the codes to get a point. I f you have ever watched ‘Richard Osman’s House of Games’ you will be familiar with the final round every day of answer smash. For those unfamiliar you have to ‘smash’ two answers together to get the answer we are looking for, e.g.Saying the name of what dried fruit used to be used to encourage people to smile before a photo in the 1800s, before the phrase “cheese?” Do you know how many post boxes there are in the UK?
