About this deal

Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.

Most of the mattresses were in their worst condition, they had mattress covers on top but still the springs were still hurting. The day we arrived to the night before we left there was no internet inspire of numerous calls to the number provided and spoken with, on top of this there was no mobile connection either. There was no TV for 3 days out of our 5 days stay. The utensils were highly smelly we had to wash everything all over again as soon as we arrived after a long drive. The location of the cottage is beautiful but everything else was disappointing. I wasn't expecting any luxury, I was only expecting a clean cottage with basic amenities. Thanks. Thank you for your review, we agree that the location of the cottage is great for outdoor pursuits! Outside there is a well-maintained enclosed garden for exclusive use of the guests and parking for two vehicles. The Fife Coastal Path runs adjacent to the field in front of the cottage, easily reached in a short walk and from here you can travel East towards Crail and West towards Cellardyke and Anstruther.

The cottage is well located near Haverfordwest and within easy reach of St. David’s and Tenby and all the beautiful coastal walks. We recommend Falcon boats for a brilliant trip around Ramsey Island. The cottage is small but ideal for a couple. Our only suggestions would be a sofa would be preferable to the two recliner chairs, and the cottage would benefit from blinds at the windows.

It was a little disappointing you did not mention our offer for you to stay longer, free of charge, due to the coming storm. You'll find an abundance of options for an afternoon drink at one of the town's many pubs, bars, or bistros, and if you'd rather skip cooking for the day, Ambleside's many eateries offer hearty meals and delicious breakfasts, perfect for fueling your day of explorations. Services - Mains water, drainage and electricity are connected to the property. Heating is by fuel oil via a condensing boiler. The new pontoon will soon be available for all our guests to use, ideal if you can bring a paddle board or kayak next time you come to stay.Upstairs are the bedrooms—a double room and a twin room. Both rooms are fresh and welcoming and offer unrivalled views across the coastal path towards the Isle of May. The twin room can be arranged as a superking on request. Start the day watching the array of wildlife- as well as the highland cows you will see many kinds of bird and possibly even a passing pod of dolphins or a minke whale. There is a further shower room on this level. My husband has mobility issues and this cottage was perfect for him. Ideally located and easy to find with a list of places to visit provided via text from the owner Matt. We have rebooked for next year When you enter Clover Cottage the first thing that you will notice is how it feels just like a large detached house, it doesn't feel cold and clinical. From the kitchen comes the lovely smell of freshly prepared home made foods being baked in the oven, and then comes the call "would you like a cuppa andsome biscuits?” The TV is on in the lounge and residents are sat comfortably, either watching their favourite shows or undertaking therapeutic activities such as crafts and house games. If you want to explore the picture-perfect hamlets, villages, lakes, and stunning landscape of the Lake District, Clover Cottages is the perfect starting point. Location is great, beautiful setting. A few minor suggestions. The sitting room could do with some comfy chairs to flop into by the fire. The bathroom would benefit from a proper shower. The mixer is hard to use and the water temperature is very high. Booking Friday to Friday is unusual. The rubbish arrangements were unsatisfactory. We felt we needed a bin outside. We had to leave our rubbish in the kitchen bin for the whole week which was not hygienic and smelly. There were instructions to take recycling to the nearest recycling point but it would have been useful to know where this was. We would certainly recommend the cottage. One of the best we have used over the years.
