About this deal

Just thought I'd offer that up. I can see that top photo's fence being a perfect addition to this bed. Yes, you can see the white at night but to not see the white would make someone much less comfortable getting near your plants. Please allow your creeping thyme to organically cover the straight edge of the sidewalk. Softens that line...seems to be healthy and happy covering the soil, reducing weeds and helping to hold moisture in the soil. Is it woolly thyme? After 9 months, your stairs should be almost entirely rust-coloured. Please be aware that run-off may still occur for several months after the uniform rust colour has been achieved.

Whatever the condition of your garden, you are sure to improve your plant’s growth with these handmade plant supports and can save yourself time and money too!

Figure A: Rebar Arched Trellis

Yes, metal edging can be easily bent or shaped to create curved designs. Simply secure your lawn edging and bend to the desire curvature. Is metal edging safe for pets and children?

Our regular Corten steel garden edging is a huge hit with landscapers, but we wanted to create a product that everyone could install, even at home. By cutting a triangular shark's tooth pattern into the metal, we've made installation simple – all you have to do is sink the points into the ground and you're good to go. Corten steel garden edging is a unique product that elevates any garden above the norm. Forget sleepers. Forget plastic edging. Forget log rolls. Go for something different. Something architectural. Something sculptural. Something like Corten steel garden edging. If you need any advice or assistance, just give our friendly team a call on 0191 338 6154, or drop us a line on [email protected].

My other thought was to use rebar as my base, then attach some heavy gauge wire at the top if I couldn't achieve this effect with one piece. That might have a fun "springy" effect--especially if the tops swayed in the wind. Can you solder onto rebar? Or maybe copper wire would stay in place as long as I twisted it far enough down the rebar "stem"? The recommended size for an effective plant support is a bar with a minimum of two and a half metres in length and a diameter of 6mm. However the round bars can also be made to any size as the plant grows so that it is not too restricting. Once created, simply place the rod in the ground wrapped around a plant to support its growth. Versatility: It can be used in various landscaping applications, including straight lines, curves, or irregular shapes. Corten steel, often referred to as weathered steel, is made from high quality steel with a special alloy that encourages surface rust. That rust does not damage the product in any way, but instead protects it from the elements.

The coating on the steel ages over time and exposure to the elements. It takes around a year to fully develop and will produce runoff when you first install it. This runoff can stain so be mindful of where you install the Corten steel edging. A low hydrogen, basic flux coated electrode on a low carbon mild steel core wire with an extruded moisture resistant chemically basic flux which has controlled iron powder addition. The moisture resistant coating gives a very low weld metal hydrogen levels. The electrode recovery rate in respect to the core wire is approx. 120%. Smooth arc, low spatter, easy strike and restrike. The electrode is mainly used for weathering steels containing a similar controlled addition & is claimed to offer a threefold improvement in corrosion resistance compared with plain C, Mn steels. The weld metal also resists preferential corrosion in sea water, particularly in arctic waters high in oxygen & salinity,Metal edging is generally safe for pets and children when properly installed. However, it's important to ensure that the edging is securely fixed and does not have any sharp or exposed edges that could cause injury. Regular inspection and maintenance can help prevent any potential hazards. How long does metal lawn edging last? Transform your outdoor space with these ultra-stylish Corten steel stairs. Available in sets of 2 steps right up to 10, they're suitable for a range of gradients. Seymour stairs are crafted in high-quality Corten steel , an industrial-style metal that's perfect for outdoor spaces. Watch your stairs weather from blue-grey to a vibrant rust as they develop an outer coating that protects the inner metal from corrosion. Forget slippery wooden steps or unstable paving and choose the rustic, high-performance metal that garden designers love. Then add the 3/8-in. rebar circles. Position the first circle about 2 ft. up from the bottom of your arch. Any lower and you may be inviting little feet to use the trellis as a makeshift ladder. Use cable ties to temporarily secure the circles in place, with the cut ends against one arch. Later you’ll cover these sharp edges with the wire wrap. Space the remaining circles evenly around the arch. They’ll be about 6 in. apart. The cable ties allow you to easily reposition the circles for the best appearance before you wire them into place. has applications for welding micro alloys & carbon manganese steels in ice breaker vessels & offshore structures. Applications also include architectural structures, bridges & exhaust gas flues. Materials to be welded include Corten A, B1 (b. steel, US Steels) and other proprietary designations. BS4360 Grade WR50A to WR50C, ASTM A588 Grades A, B, C, K. Din 1.8960, 1.8961, 1.8963. I got a vision for some yard art the other day, and when I get these ideas in my head, I've got to pursue them even though I haven't a clue as to what I'm doing! ;-)

Maintenance: Metal lawn edging requires minimal maintenance compared to other edging materials. It does not rot, warp, or require regular painting. Appearance: It provides a clean and professional look to your outdoor space, giving it a polished and finished appearance. Steel and aluminium are the most common metals used for edging. Steel edging is strong and rigid, making it suitable for heavy-duty applications or areas that require more stability. Aluminium edging is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and easy to handle. Can metal lawn edging be used for curved designs? Give your garden a designer aesthetic with the Verona cylindrical planter. Crafted using high-quality Corten steel, this sleek planter is built to withstand whatever the weather throws at it. Corten steel starts out blue-grey in colour and gradually turns a rich orange when it is exposed to air and water. Although the surface might look like rust, it actually protects the steel on the inside from corrosion. Verona's versatile design looks great on its own or as part of a display featuring multiple Corten steel planters. We include pre-drilled drainage holes and offer a huge range. Just choose the perfect planter for your space from the dropdown menu. Drive Stakes in the Arc

Looking for a garden feature that’s low cost and easy to assemble? Then this archway trellis is perfect for you. We made it from inexpensive steel “rebar” that you can find at any home center. Once the trellis is covered with climbing plants, the steel disappears and you have a dramatic entryway into your garden. By being brutally anal with measurements, your little barrier fence will look professional, stable and consistent. No guessing. Mark off measurements on the sidewalk with chalk. I would string a line at the top height of the fence to keep each and every section of curve either level or identical in height to all the other curves. I've been searching "bendable metal rods", "bending rebar", "heavy gauge wire" to no avail. Can't come up with anything that looks like this that I could plagerize, and while I know exactly what I want, I've got no clue as to what would be the best material to use. I do not like structured 'edging' usually. This particular little fence has won my heart. Please, keep it rust, don't do white. Hey, I went to school to be able say this stuff, grins!! I'd also redo that post and chain to match in rust. I want to create a "bouquet" of metal rods that will stand among my flower beds at about 6' high when finished. I want them to come straight out of the ground like a stake, but somewhere around the 4 foot height, I want to bend the tops into spirals and/or corkscrews. Depending on the material used, I could paint them to keep them all-weather if needed.
