The seduction in this novel was interesting, it was always there, but lurking in the shadows. Parker is a sexy as sin, bad boy, covered in tattoos; completely addicting. Which is why Livy was never able to let go her teenage love, but some events take place that end up with both their hearts broken. Livy was sexy, confident, and heart broken. She struggled with trying to get past her heartbreak, but it’s never easy to get over someone you love. I really enjoyed the past and present of this novel because you get to see the development that the characters go through from the four years that they haven’t seen each other. The characters were all alluring and entwined into the lives of Parker and Livy, you start to love the secondary characters as much as the main ones. The rest of dinner seemed to go the same way. Emily talked about the wedding while everyone else listened. We all interjected ohs and ahs where necessary, but I was itching to get out of there. I wasn’t too keen to hear all the details of Parker’s wedding. A wedding that one-day ago, I had envisioned myself in. I wasn’t attracted to Brandon. Was he hot? Hell yes, but from the moment I met him, I knew we were going to be great friends. We were too much alike. Would we make a good couple? No. Would we make the greatest dynamic duo ever? Absolutely. she finally released a deep, shuddering breath, and it was as if I could feel it filling my own lungs. It was the deepest breath I had taken since she stole it so many years ago.”

Where Good Girls Go to Die is a captivating and addictive read that left me wanting more. The chemistry between Olivia and Parker is sizzling, and their emotional journey is heartwarming and at times heart-wrenching. The story is beautifully written, and the author’s passion for storytelling shines through. If you love second chance romances with bad boys and strong heroines, this book is a must-read. So, the finale ended with Beth on top, Ruby seemingly choosing to support Beth over joining her family in Nevada, and Annie behind bars. Annie's ending was the one that made the least sense to me on first watch, so I'm glad that there are dots to connect. Of course, I'm sure there are plenty of Good Girls viewers who immediately knew what had happened. Still, I think there's something that many of us can agree on, whether or not we knew right away why Annie was arrested: it's a shame that Good Girls was cancelled, especially since it is pretty unlikely to return. Boomer’s been hiding in his grandma’s attic but she persuades him to come clean to stop Beth going to jail for his murder.

The structure of the show tends to see the girls come up with a cunning new way to make/launder money (or a stupid one like doing another robbery) and then inadvertently promise one criminal or another a ridiculous amount of cash to fix whatever mess they have found themselves in, meaning they are constantly grifting but never really have any meaningful, stable, available cash. And based on Dave and Phoebe's conversation when Phoebe handed him a file full of what seemed to be a lot of dirt on the gun, Annie might be on the hook for way more than Lucy's death: If you’ve not read Where Good Girls Go to Die- it’s the perfect encapsulation of all that I love about Holly’s romances. So much angst, passionate emotions, and a painful and heart touching journey to get to that HEA. Parker and Liv are also classic Holly Renee characters- they are WILDLY imperfect. They make mistakes…many. And mistakes that hurt each other. It brings a gritty realism to their connection.
