About this deal

Boasting a new recipe, crafted specifically to celebrate the historical occasion, Silent Pool’s Coronation Gin has been made using infusions of King Charles’ favourite Surrey botanicals, plants and flowers, with gentle notes of bergamot orange, complemented by elegant floral notes from rose petals, lavender and chamomile.

Four Sis4ers Distillery director Hayley Robinson said: “King Charles is passionate about the environment, and we are passionate about sustainability – so we thought it would be a great idea to use fruit food waste for this latest gin, to repurpose the strawberries into something special to mark such an iconic occasion. King Charles III's Coronation is just around the corner, and while the Royal Family are busy organising the running of the highly coveted ceremony, we're busy obsessing over which coronation-inspired food we'll be preparing for our neighbourhood street parties.

To make sure your celebrations are as memorable as possible, there are a few things you're going to need to make it extra special. Of course loved ones are top of the list, but to keep them happy you may want to consider decorating with Coronation theme balloons, bunting, plates, cups, cutlery and more.

A blend of more than 53 rare malt and grain whiskies, the Royal Salute Coronation of King Charles III Edition is a rich and complex expression with notes of fresh redcurrants, dark chocolate praline, and freshly roasted chestnuts, and a palate of sweet figs and fresh ginger leading up to a long and rich finish with a playful spice. The recipe is a combination of flavours of orange and currants with the warming spices of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, rosemary, coriander, and angelica. The resulting juniper-led gin is said to have a fruity and robust finish. London-based Meantime Brewing Company has teamed up with Record Store Day UK (RSDUK) to create Double Groove (4.7% ABV). Whitley Neill Connoisseur’s Cut Gin is a classic London Dry expression which is distilled at The City of London Distillery, the first and only gin distillery in the heart of London for over 200 years. It is cut at 47%, letting the rich juniper and citrus notes shine through. The limited edition bottle boasts a striking, patriotic red, white and blue colour scheme, with the official coronation emblem on the seal of the lid.Halewood Artisanal Spirits global marketing director Rachel Adams said: “With an extra Bank Holiday and a weekend full of celebrations, the coronation will present a huge sales opportunity for retailers and licensees this May. Halewood Artisanal Spirits has launched a limited-edition bottle of its Whitley Neill Connoisseur’s Cut London Dry Gin to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III. Independent Scotch whisky distillery GlenAllachie has revealed a trio of limited-edition single malts joining its Virgin Oak Series. To complement the ale, project executive chef Sang Nguyen has created three new limited-edition food dishes with a royal twist that will be available at selected Shepherd Neame pubs across the Coronation weekend. To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, the City of London unveiled a new still called Elizabeth after the late Queen. It is on this still that all Whitley Neill’s London Dry gins are made, including this special release.

It is said King Charles likes a Martini every night before dinner, however his exact preference for how it is served is unknown. We might assume, however, that he might opt for a gin he has an affinity with, such as Hepple Gin. In 2018, Hepple welcomed King Charles III to its estate in Northumbria where he planted his own juniper tree. To create the triad of new whiskies, the spirit was first matured in American Oak (Quercus Alba) ex-Bourbon Barrels before undergoing a finishing period of approximately 18 months in the different oak varieties. Brewer T&R Theakston is raising a pint in celebration of the seventh coronation in its almost 200-year history with the launch of a special edition beer for King Charles III. We’ve mixed American Citra and British Admiral hops to create a full-bodied IPA that’ll get you into the groove this Record Store Day. Trying to stand out in a positive way within the world of gin is an interesting challenge with many shades of grey. If we’re talking about products simply labeled as “dry gin,” rather than overtly “flavored” examples that are meant to be dominated by a single aspect, then there are fairly tight boundaries into which the final product must fall—and thus, only so much room truly available for real experimentation. You can only stretch so far away from the juniper-driven style of London dry gin, after all, before what you’re making is more easily interpreted as flavored vodka. It’s a delicate balancing act. This is our third year as official beer partner to RSD UK and this beer symbolises the important relationship between the US and UK, both musically and in beer.” Distilled at The City of London Distillery, the Connoisseur's Cut Gin (47% ABV) offers notes of juniper and citrus. Salcombe Distilling Co. has announced a portfolio of non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs, New London Light, consisting of three new serves. Rachel Adams, global marketing director at Halewood, said: “With an extra Bank Holiday and a weekend full of celebrations, the coronation will present a huge sales opportunity for retailers and licensees this May. English wine producer Chapel Down has announced the release of a limited-edition English sparkling wine to commemorate the coronation with all profits being donated to the Royal British Legion.
