About this deal

The main plot thread is Michael is invited by a producer to go to Dallas to record his music, and Amelie grants all four of them - Michael, Claire, Eve and Shane - People Passes to go. And it gave me fresh impetus to go back to the next YA novel, Revolver, with renewed determination to be gloomy! But when they snatch the coins they also pick up something they hadn't bargained on, and as the hideous consequences of their theft catch up with them all, Seth is forced to face a terrifying truth.

I’m still going to read the next book in the series, but I don’t expect that I’ll really remember this book out of everything I’ve read. Scarlett's trip starts out innocently enough … though she thinks she's going to die after listening to native Scottish music performed by men and women dressed in traditional costumes. Still, Kiss of Death is enjoyable as it is, just tagging along with Scarlett as her journey comes to a close. The conflict between wanting to pursue your own dreams versus wanting to make your family proud by doing what they want. Heck realises that there’s another player in this game of cat and mouse, and this time, they’ve not just caught the prize: they’ve made sure no one else ever does. I also wish that the author would take a bit more of a risk with the MMC to stand out from all the other dark fantasy romance and do something different and unexpected.

This is currently the longest Early Access book to date, with at least 21 confirmed chapters, dethroning the previous record of 20 chapters held by Wake the Dead. My father swore he'd never love again, but just as suddenly as Merelda arrived, she became the very center of his world . i am going to read the next book out of curiosity due to the cliffhanger ending, but if the sequel doesn't deliver, i'm very done with this series.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).

His first book, Floodland, was published by Orion in 2000, and won the Branford-Boase award for best debut children's novel. I think a lot of readers will probably appreciate that if they’re looking for dark fantasy that toes the line of monster romance, but aren’t willing to actually take the plunge yet. I liked their chemistry and I thought Hazel as a character was strong in a way that characters sometimes lack. The author skillfully depicts the worldbuilding so that I could vividly imagine Hazel's childhood home and the castle. A captivating story of love and loss, THE KISS OF DEATH is a stunning companion volume to the bestselling MY SWORDHAND IS SINGING.The Meh: The writing isn’t horrible, although the pacing leaves something to be desired (which I’ll get to soon). Now, Scarlett is the only Wakefield left aside from her grandmother and although it took a lot of tragedy, she is finally able to have the chance to become something close to a normal teenager. Of course lots of people are going to love the feel of this book but for me, this book was unfortunately a bad experience from beginning to end. I would consider Kiss of Death to be almost "monster-lite" - the MMC is supposed to be monstrous (he is Death, after all), which I like, but he’s also supposed to be gorgeous?

The Kiss of Death was published in paperback in April 2009, and picked up a thread from his highly acclaimed My Swordhand is Singing (winner of the 2007 Booktrust Teenage Book Award). i liked the mash up of cinderella, beauty and the beast, with a sprinkling of persephone hades and a bit of acotar - but we only got any of that in the last quarter of the book. The Yes: I appreciate having a dark fantasy that doesn’t have vampires or fae - those are a bit overdone in my opinion. There was also the death and the maiden aspect of it, especially when we see Death’s POV and how he slowly comes to acknowledge his feelings but knows nothing can ever come of it. i was 75% of the way through and shocked to see that i wasn't only 25% of the way through because it felt like nothing had even happened.
