About this deal

I did find one storyline to be particularly disturbing and wish it had not been included in the book. But in the complications were both the questions and the answers, the hidden solutions and unexpected blessings. I appreciated the set-up of this novel and I was eager to see how all the staff of the Louis XVI would handle the incoming issues thrown at them from the grand re-opening. He was incomparably discreet, and knew all the delicate secrets of the patrons, many movie stars, and people who had much to lose if his mask of secrecy ever slipped.

Especially during these COVID times, it’s great to escape into the world of jet setters and the rich and famous. The Louis XVI Hotel on the rue Boissy d’Anglas just off the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris had been closed for renovations for four years. And a couple will find their once-in-a-lifetime trip struck by a medical emergency, leaving the future they’ve longed for hanging in the balance. Both strive to continue the hotel’s tradition for excellence but even they were not prepared for what happened on that September evening. All of our books are 100% brand new, unread and purchased directly from the publishers in bulk allowing us to pass the huge savings on to you! Complications is a contemporary romance with a high-end hotel, an attractive art consultant, an ill internist, a surreptitious prime minister, a jumpy manager, an unflappable assistant, and scandalous actions. People in hotel circles considered him a dark horse choice, but the owners of the Louis XVI had liked him when they’d met in London.

Not her best book yet but still enjoyed reading it lots xx The best book I ever read of hers has to be Message from Nam. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. It was guarded by a policeman, who would open the barrier for a car to pass carrying an important person, or guests of the exclusive hotel. I have reviewed quite a few of her newer books out of nostalgia lately since I had read her in my younger years but this one is my least favorite of those. They’d had a few cancellations of the original reservations for the opening, due to death, ill health, or unforeseen circumstances, like divorce or the arrival of a baby right at that time. And one of the hotel's most high-profile guests, a French politician and assumed presidential candidate, holds a mysterious meeting in his suite that will threaten his life and legacy. I don’t usually like books about the elite or wealthy characters, but Danielle does such a good job of making them relatable and human, that I don’t mind her books.
