There's a fair few decent hits on this and it's better than some previous 'Now' albums released but there's still (as always) a disproportionate amount of urban hits compared to light, fun, pop songs which everyone knows. They all vary from one to five disc compilations (occasionally six disc), starting in 1986 and continuing to the present day (Jan 2023).

The latest instalment of the hugely popular series of compilations has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Compilation Albums Chart, scoring an impressive sales tally of 317,000 copies during its first week. Stay, Can't Hold Us, High Hopes ( ), Love Like This, Young And Beautiful, On Top Of The World, and Fall Down are songs I each love to varying amounts but I'm not surprised to see most of them missing. Apart from that this album is pretty much spot on, It has 44 tracks the same as the last 2 summer albums 79 and 82 which is pretty much what I was expecting, and all the number 1's since Now 84 are included. Some of the Special Editions have identical names, although a few of these titles are followed by their year of release.But other than that it's a fantastic album with so many recent chart hits, but there are also quite a fair few songs missing.

The Now Yearbook series continues both forwards, with Now Yearbook 1985 issued in November 2022, and backwards, with the release of Now Yearbook 1979 in September 2022 (an Extra followed in October). Another strand of the Now Yearbook series, in August 2022, is the somewhat experimental release of a limited edition, extended play, 7" vinyl single, containing 2 tracks each from the 1983 and 1984 Yearbooks.
