About this deal

in book 2, we have zaynab and adam's established relationship with each their own trials from Al-Rahim (God). She emphasises the esteem that Islam gives such relationships when carried out in a halal framework and mentions in her afterword how important showing this was to her. I loved Janna's part as well because I missed and wanted to know more about her and trust me I am so so happy for her.

She preferred this trouble—this “Auntie” Hanna—over the turmoil that was waiting on the other side of the door to the bathroom she was in right at the moment. Also, I was surprised by all the mixing/chilling/"hanging-out" that was happening between the male/female members of the umrah group--even when they were at Makkah. The Proudest Blue", her picture book co-authored with Ibtihaj Muhammad, was an instant New York Times Bestseller. Coupled with that (pun unintended), they're both facing personal issues and insecurities in themselves and their relationship. I like Adam's character as he's caring and as for Zayneb, her character was a bit annoying, I get it that she wants to spend time with Adam but her reluctant behavior was off for me.Then a marvel Adam and Zayneb get the chance to spend Thanksgiving week on the Umrah, a pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, in Saudi Arabia. it was perfection, romance at its best, halal goodness with a sprinkle of condemning inequality, racism islamophobia and pointing the finger at institutions. There is nothing sacrilegious or blasphemous when combining love with Islamic duties because the root of Islam is love. And as one wedge after another drives them apart as they make their way from one holy city to another, Adam and Zayneb start to wonder: was their meeting just an oddity after all?

On the trip of a lifetime, Adam and Zayneb must find their way back to each other in this surprising and romantic sequel to the “bighearted, wildly charming” (Becky Albertalli, New York Times bestselling author) Love from A to Z. Love and “spice” doesn’t exist throughout the world EXCEPT in Mecca and Medina because once again, there are people who LIVE there. Just off this charming, hygge-ful space is the master bedroom: a lush, intimate oasis of peace and comfort. Another thing I would like to add is that the Prophet (PBUH) met his wife Sayeda Maymunah during Umrah. Adam leaned back in the chair and rubbed his face, hoping it hadn’t turned red when Hanna crept up like that—when he’d been staring at Zayneb and the way she’d let her cardigan fall away so artfully.I think the aspect of this book that I emotionally connected with most were the reflections on how chronic illness affects relationships, in this case Adam’s multiple sclerosis and how it influences his relationship with Zayneb.
